I've tried to capture it with fraps, then I converted it and then I realized that the fps flashed sometimes in the video. ReplyDeleteI think so, too. The only materials which could resists such temperatures are aramids and they doesn't exist in this time.
ReplyDeleteThat means that dragon skin could resist more than 2000°C (temperature of the Nadders flame) and are also bad thermal conductors. With an infrared camera you probably wouldn't see a dragon.
Which one do you guys think come first, Hiccup surrounded by the ring of fire, or the one where he waves his sword?
ReplyDeletePersonally I think the ring of fire comes first because you can see Hiccup has his sword in his hand, but it isn't yet extended.
You make a good point about the infrared camera. I never would've thought about that before. You should still be able to see their eyes and mouths (and any other orifices) on the camera

ReplyDeleteIt's the mechanics of the blade that interest me the most though. I really do like how both ends of the handle are usable. I enjoy the design of the different ends of the handle as well. The open dragon mouth for where the blade comes out then the closed mouth which he can use to ignite it. I'm just curious to see how he stores the gas and what he devised up to ignite it. I'm guessing it's more or less akin to a lighter considering how he's holding and using it, but still it's jut one of those things I would like to see more of to get a better idea and feel for. Actually when you think about how the blade and handle work and function the ring of fire scene could come later it's less likely but still possible.

ReplyDeleteDang, cool stuff! Drago looks to be quite the impressive villain! Whatever his cape is made of (surely dragon skin) it was able to repel Hookfangs flame. Wow, wonder how that sequence will end.

I love seeing the teens all together on the ice! It's honesty really funny to see them chilling together as twenty year olds! Ah, this movie looks great!
Drago is really Hiccup's biological father. Valka hid Hiccup away so he wouldn't be swayed to the dark side.

The dragon behind Hiccup is of a lighter hue (possibly blue) with orange dots essentilly all over it's head and neck.(or at least the side we see) However I'll admit it could be a different colored version of this dragon I doubt it since. On top of that the fin shape and the head and the teeth really doesn't have the same resemblance. Here is an image of the Speed Stinger. See the resemblances to the dragon behind Hiccup and this one. So I'm leaning towards just an older Stinger.

I'm curious who the guys behind Snotlout and Fishlegs are they don't look like vikings, and considering they might look puzzled as to why Snotlout and Fishlegs laughing. Makes me think that maybe Snot and Fish were "captured" I don't know if their Drago's men but, maybe the idea of those Slavic raiders isn't entirely dead.

ReplyDeleteI'm doubtful because of its size. I think the Speed Stingers were meant to be small dragons, not something that huge. I know it certainly has the head shape of one, but still, it's so BIG...

But u know how some anemic people can jus take an iron tablet a day or something and then they r all good, well, mine is really bad. For example, on a bar of how much iron u should have in ur blood - out of 100% - I have about 10% of the iron I should have, so a tablet doesnt do it for me...; (

I've only been to the movie theaters six times in my life (the last being Lone Survivor, Transformers Dark of The Moon, Thor The Dark World, War Horse Rise of The Guardians, and HTTYD) and I only have ever seen one 3D movie. I wear glasses since I can't wear contacts (they hurt my eyes) and I just don't know...
