Synposis: Hiccup and Toothless return from a mission to find Berk mysteriously empty. They discover that the village has been overrun by Speed Stingers, a venomous non-flying dragon that has trekked across the frozen sea to Berk and driven everyone out of town. Hiccup must find a way to drive the Speed Stinger horde away from Berk.
Here are nine new images from the Cartoon Network database and one from Facebook:
I am SO looking forward to this episode! The Speed Stingers look awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd look! Trader Johann's in it! (second to last pic) Too bad we can't see Ruffnut to see if she still has short hair or not.
Dragon breed no. 21, here we come!
ReplyDeleteI hope she dose.(me and my friend like her hair short)I also have pink eye and I can't talk
ReplyDeleteSpeed Stingers oh thor almighty! I cant wait to watch this episode and the rest of you of course!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what VelocityTheSpeedStinger will react like :P.
I think Ruffnut still will have short hair unless her hair grows super fast!
ReplyDeleteawesome sauce
ReplyDeleteHow do u make an account pic because I hav several in mind:)
ReplyDeleteGod i forgot the name of the guy but someone asked on twitter if Ruff would keep her short hair and he said she wouldnt.. So prepare to see some magical powers at work!
ReplyDeleteShe'll have long hair. It was only short for the episode, I read it somewhere on an interview or whatever. Sad, but eh...
ReplyDeleteso excited!!! I knew if I kept on checking the site this new episode would pop up eventually! I am so excited to see this!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I noticed Trader Johann too! This looks like it's going to be a totally awesome episode :0) These dragons are reminiscent of theropod dinosaurs~ bipedial species which include Velociraptor and T-Rex. I love Dinosaurs. Maybe that's why I love dragons too!
ReplyDeleteFlightless Dragons = Draconic Raptors.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what these guys look like.
Ugh, all the Speed Stingers are blurry. :P
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this episode!! The Speed Stingers look awesome!
ReplyDeleteso excited to see this... by the looks of the drawn pictures we got a few month back, maybe these dragons are the closest relatives to the dinosaurs, and they hunt in pack just like raptors did. maybe they are related to the raptors.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the one with stripes is the leader of sorts, in picture 8 a lot of green stingers are following the caged striped one.
ReplyDeleteMeatlug doing a barrel role over a house and THERE ARE SPEEDIES IN PICS 3 AND 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete(Neilandio just beat me to it!) There's also something I'd like to point out: in pic 8 you see a pack of SS's running after Stormfly, who's carrying another different colored SS in a cage. Time to type down my theories! *enters nerd mode*
1. The striped SS is the leader of the SS pack. Wherever the leader goes, the rest of the group will follow right behind them at all times. Like a pod of Pilot whales (but very mean xD). So a pack of Speed Stingers is a very tightly knit group.
2. The striped SS is a boss SS. This theory is very similar to my first, and I somewhat doubt this would be the case, since there's already a big, nasty boss dragon in the series (the SD).
3. Similar to a school of sea goldies, that striped specimen is a leading male or female, like the Queen Fireworm.
I THINK MEATLUG HAS A SS ON HER!!!!!!!YOU CAN SEE IT IF U LOOK CLOSELY
ReplyDeletei am very mad at dreamworks they seem to care more about the croods and rise of the guardians than httyd. they have a comic book app that has the croods, guardians, and sherk and no httyd.
ReplyDeletealso hiccups face is so cute in the first picture.
Whoa, they actually have a climate on Berk in the show. O.O Oh yeah and those Speed Stingers look tough too. XDDD
ReplyDeleteFinally! Some interesting sneak peak screencaps! You see Q-A the Authoress, this is all I was asking for with free Scauldy.
ReplyDeleteFreakin' love this site. I'd never find these pictures myself so this site lets me see some great sneak peeks.
ReplyDeleteBUT
Not only that, but you guys commenting with theories and things that I would of never noticed. Awh man, y'all are great.
This episode looks like their actually put some effort into the backgrounds :D Last episode the ground was just grey but now it's actually got grass D: Once again, excited for this episode :)
In pic number 7, it looks a bit like the speed stingers are running on two legs... maybe that relates them to the dinosaurs? In the pics BerksGrapevine put up a while back, it looks like the Speed Stingers have a little bit of resemblance to Raptors, and Raptors were pretty fast dinosaurs. By the looks of things, I think that the closest relative to the Raptors was the Speed Stingers, due to their vicious speed and nasty stings. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteDon't say that. There's a comic/art book with httyd AND a set for httyd2 is coming out in May. Let's not forget the dozens of apps and online games for the movie either (like school of dragons and Wild skies for example). Tons of franchise, such as the macaroni noodles shaped as the characters in httyd2, cups, plates (look under the comments of Astrid's new poster), and of course, the bazillion different toys on Amazon and ToysRus.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for this episode! And by the images of it... it looks like it's going to be another amazing episode :)
ReplyDeleteI also wonder if Ruffnut will appear. I wanna see her with her short hair again. She looks weird (in a good way) but at the same time pretty (not like she's never been pretty... she is)
Please no Astrid/Snotlout in this episode I think that would make everyone happy lol
ReplyDeleteThat is a extremely realistic assumption!! And I also agree!
ReplyDeleteYea the striped one is like a alpha male or female like in a wolf pack
ReplyDeleteThe leader Stinger looks nice, but the other speed stingers look very singularly coloured.
ReplyDeletei know but still. random but doesn't httyd have the biggest fandom in dreamworks?
ReplyDeleteTHE NEXT EPISODE IS CALLED........... The Eel Effect
ReplyDeletei wonder if they are going to try to train the dragons to eat eels or something
soooooooooooooo happppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:>
ReplyDeleteIm going to have to disagree with you..httyd has books, tons of merchandise, soundtrack cds, a TV SERIES, and a SEQUEL. I'd say they still have httyd on their minds
ReplyDeleteI don't have the statistics, but I'd have to say yes.
ReplyDeleteI think Astrid just did that to creep Snotlout out.
ReplyDeleteno i think its just her saddle
ReplyDelete*Tuffnut
ReplyDeleteI am hyped, that's for sure! ;D
ReplyDeleteOh gods can't wait and did anyone else knotes johun?
ReplyDeleteQuestion about this episode: what is trader johann doing? Just visiting?
ReplyDeleteI hope there's no "Snotlout & Astrid'' moments in this episode. Last episode was just weird.
Oh,it looked green.oops:)PS look at what I just drew.I had no idia that I had it in me:)
ReplyDeleteI want ruffnut to have her regular hair back.
ReplyDeleteI think the Speed Stinger will be the last new dragon for the season.
ReplyDeleteThe awaited Speed Stinger's appearance will arrive! Finally. Velocity would love this... I wonder where do these dragons come from. And are they so aggressive as they said not even Stoick willing to fight them? They are flightless and the vikings have dragons, so let's see...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like this will be Hiccup and Toothless centric episode assuming from the pictures. And to think the village mysteriously empty... I think it has this slightly horror atmosphere... I'm ecstatic!
The Stingers indeed look like dinosaurs, seemingly loosely based on Dromaeosaurs. And at the 8th picture... It looks like they have an alpha leader of some sort... All the Stingers are pure green while the one in the cage is green with red stripes and sail.
5th picture,Meatlug looks drunk and crash landing X3
Oh,and there's Trader Johann. I was wondering where he went. Glad to see he returns since he hasn't been seen since We Are Family pt 2.
So... if that happens, realistically, Frozen takes place months after Free Scauldy.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone of you notice Hiccup looks like a girl on pic 1 and 2. ('-')
ReplyDeleteIt must be if Ruffnuts hair has grown back already.
ReplyDeleteHopefully not! We have yet to see a timberjack and a snaptrapper besides from the book of dragons. And it would also be nice to see a boneknapper again.
ReplyDeleteActually it is Ruffnut.
ReplyDeleteWhat if they made the Screaming Death encounter EELS! Omgafklusjcjhscnh THAT WOULD BE SO COOL.
ReplyDeleteIf that happens, seeing a terribly frightened Screaming Death over an eel would be amusing.
ReplyDeleteI would even go so far as to say that HTTYD has the biggest fandom of all movies after Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. No other movie has so many hardcore fans. Even the mass of fan ast on deviantART beats everything!
ReplyDeleteI swear you, after the second movie, the whole world will talk about it and after the third everyone wants another trilogy.
Free scauldry took place in not winter season and as the fact of Berk which has 9 months of winter and 3 months of sunny, that means Ruffnut has only 3 months less to growing her hair and if were going to grows up, that will be not as long as she used to. but well who knows? DreamWorks has that magical pen to make her hair growing magically though
ReplyDeletei will agree with you there i just hope that in they won't give hiccup a beard but i'm fine with stubble
ReplyDeleteI hope the characters spotlight in this episode will be on Hiccup and Toothless again.
ReplyDeleteI want to see an OCEANZAP + a REapearence of the SKRILL.:)
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else excited to see what meatlug is doing!!!
ReplyDeletecan someone provide a link to this episode?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. We have 6 completly new dragon species in 34 episodes. According to this statistic, there have to be a 7th in the last 6 episodes.
ReplyDeleteThey might show up in the movie. I think I saw Timberjack in one of the HTTYD2 trailers.
ReplyDeleteVenomous dragon huh? Hmmmm, something tells me that someone is about to get venom if that dragon is very fast.
ReplyDeleteI think it may be that eels are poisonous to dragons, but the Typhoomerang is immune to the poison.
ReplyDeleteso far we've seen static, scauldy and now even velocity in DoB.
ReplyDeletewhen is Thornado going to return?!
i know we are the best fandom, but i wouldn't say the biggest. you still have the hunger games, harry potter ice age etc.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where I can watch this livestream tonight instead of waiting a day or two for it to be on watchcartoononline.com?
ReplyDeleteCan`t wait!!
ReplyDeleteI have analyzed movie statistics and writing critics for year. 90% of the Gunger Games and Harry Potter fans are fans of the book and watch the movies only to criticize them (like the Hardcore Tolkien fans with "The Hobbit"). And after the first Ice Age movie the series was only used for financial exploits. HTTYD is something completly different. Almost no one knew the book before the movie released. It's exactly like the late 70s after the release of Star Wars IV. (I don't was there but I know people who are fans since the first movie).
ReplyDeleteThornado coming...
ReplyDeleteI don't know of any good stream but if you find one, you should tell me too :D
ReplyDeletehttp://watchseries.lt/serie/dragons:_riders_of_berk This site has the episode up a couple of hours after it airs though.
Yeah, I like the alpha male idea. Males in the wild are usually brighter colors than the female, and wild males can also have a harem of females like a lion.
ReplyDeleteThat picture with Astrid and Stormfly carrying that cage might have spoiled the episode. It looks like they have a baby or something in the cage, and they lead the other dragons away using that baby as a bait. But who knows... Maybe that is not the end of the episode.
ReplyDeleteActually Kris0ten said that the hair is back to normal in this episode.
ReplyDeleteI want a Skrill reappearence too, and I want dagur to ride it. I doubt the oceanzap will appear on the tv show considering it's a dragon being developed for the second film.
ReplyDeleteTimberjacks will appear on HTTYD 2 but I still want to see an episode about them. Considering the amount of dragons there will be on the sequel they will most likely be cameo dragons so it would be nice if they got a focal episode in DoB.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she has extensions?
ReplyDeletei know who makes the show funny is Snotlout and the Twins.
ReplyDeleteso is the speed stinger in the cage the alpha? Because its fin on its neck is red while the others are green and they seem to be following it.
ReplyDeleteThis is how i'm going to look when i watch it that the end.
ReplyDeleteummm
ReplyDeleteI hope Alvin didn't die, and is Heather ever going to come back??
ReplyDeletePlease some Hiccstrid... Please!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else notice that Hiccup has stupidly long hair again in some scenes (like in Animal House)?
Thanks! :) If I find one I will be sure to let you know!
ReplyDeleteguys!!! we'll have 2 more seasons!:D
ReplyDeleteWhere did you read that?! Excitement!
ReplyDeleteIt was weird, but the upside may prove to be that Astrid has finally gotten rid of Snotlout's attentions forever! Which everyone would welcome, I think...and which would tie in nicely to HTTYD2, with him hitting on Ruffnut instead.
ReplyDeletetwitter!
ReplyDeleteThats my tweet! hahaha Im glad I asked him.
ReplyDeleteso don't say anything about jsanford!
ReplyDeleteTrue. Personally I just want more Dragons: DoB episodes until then 'cause waiting two-three more months for Dragon-related awesomeness will *almost* kill me. DX
ReplyDeleteI Knew that already.. Those 2 seasons are coming out after HTTYD 2 comes out...
ReplyDeletei'm quite sure people know about this but httyd 3 is going to come out on June 17th. i'm so happy i'm geeking
ReplyDeletei love this picture because it looks like hiccup is geeking about the speed stingers to his dad
new photo from Facebook
ReplyDeletethis usually airs during the time of the show: http://www.livestream.com/demondragons/video?clipId=pla_51ab5920-fd1f-4731-9f83-2dd008e3c7e5&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thumb
ReplyDeleteahh! My life is complete ^ u ^
ReplyDeleteNew image of the Speedstinger
ReplyDeleteonce some one is done watching the episode I'd like to know what happened!
ReplyDeleteWow, I say that was one of the best episodes if not THE best episode the season yet! And I'm not saying that because I'm happy the SS's showed up. Gustav got some spotlight time, there was a sweet hicstrid hug, and Johan finally appeared and had some good show time himself! This episode wasn't very predictable either, there were nice surprises here and there, and I got anxious a few times when they were capturing the Speed leader. I'm gonna rate this one a 3-4 star episode :)
ReplyDeleteI thought it was on the 13th...
ReplyDeleteI EAS ON THE EGE OF MY FEET!! I WONDER WHAT WAS VOLOSITY'S REACTION? I LOVED THE PART WARE ASTRID HUGED HICCUP!!!!!
ReplyDeleteif anyone can link where I can watch this ep online please post the link. <3
ReplyDeleteThis may well have been my favorite episode yet. I loved the tense atmosphere when Berk was a ghost village and the Stingers remained an unseen menace. The action scenes and humor were well done, and including the bottle of ink that Trader Johann owed Hiccup from his first appearance in Season 1 was a really nice touch. Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that we finally got a cute little Hiccup/Astrid scene like so many of us had been waiting for. An impeccably timed one that felt completely natural at that.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to make any nitpick, it would be that Ruff was back to having long hair, but that's a very minor complaint in such a great episode overall.
If anyone wants to see this today already since animeflavor or other sites take about one or two days. http://www.livestream.com/demondragons/video?clipId=pla_565842ff-9acb-4ffd-b0e3-2cc6d444be82&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thumb
ReplyDeleteTakes longer but in my opinion, I just couldn't wait any longer. xD
Haha! Yay! Wow... I wonder if it will explain why he's apparently gone in the sequel. Someone did tweet that the series would explain that. I SO hope he doesn't die! That would be tragic.
ReplyDeleteI dont think so, I mean, like ep 15 is Tale of two dragons and 16 is The Eel Effect ( according to rumours.) And lets say there is a double ep at the end... which leaves only two episodes. Plus they are saying Thornado gets his own episode. Leaving one episode for a dragon introduction. Kind of unlikely... Still I'm keeping my hopes up.
ReplyDeleteTHIS WAS SO FUNNY EVERYONE WAS GOING CRAZY HAHAHAHA SNOTLOUT WAS FROZEN HAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteI heard hicstrid.... WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS ONLINE???!!!!!!! Sorry its just the hiccstrid. And Gustav's back? GREAT!
ReplyDeleteAnd they need to hunt for a potato to cure them... THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteProbably one of the best episodes of the season so far
ReplyDeleteI do hope so, but given after this episode we will 5 episodes remaining and they probably have settle the scores with Dagur, Alvin (probably) and Screaming Death, I doubt we're going to see any new dragons, unless they are all introduced in the final showdown with the antagonists. I also heard somewhere that, given how Typhoomerang is based on Timberjack, Timberjack will be unlikely to appear in the series, but hey, this dragon is confirmed to appear in the sequel, so nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI for one would love to see Snaptrapper :)
Awesome! I hope they'll be set after the second movie so we will see the daily lives of the teens toward the adulthood :D
ReplyDeleteThat is, if she's even afraid of eels... O.o
ReplyDeleteThat being said, they haven't use the eels to counter most of wild dragons. Fishlegs said never been in recorded history a dragon is shown not to afraid of eels, but so far only Typhoomerang seen not to afraid of eels, but how about the others like Scauldron, Thunderdrum or WHispering Death?
Gustav returns? Great! And spotlight for Trader Johann? Hicstrid moment?
ReplyDeleteNeed to see this, quick!
I know! :(
ReplyDelete@.@ THANK YOU
ReplyDeletepeople please don't spoil it for me, i live in holland and have to wait till' the next day or longer to download it S:
ReplyDeleteGuess who was in the episode!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewww.livestream.com/demondragons has a recorded version of the episode. It has commercials too though.
ReplyDeleteOmg best episode on I was so sad when we want to the cove.
ReplyDeleteHere's the link: http://www.animeflavor.com/node/41389
ReplyDeletebookmark it.
Yes, there's definitely that HiccStrid moment. Short but suffice. Not there to dominate the episode but it make us happy again =) Finally they decided to put that. No harm, right?
That Hiccstrid moment was nicely done, right?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.livestream.com/demondragons/video?clipId=pla_565842ff-9acb-4ffd-b0e3-2cc6d444be82&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thumb
ReplyDeleteThanks for finding this @Neilandio :)
Great episode, definitely one of the best of this season. They're certainly giving Gustav more air time though. I doubt if they'll put him in the movie but it'd be cool to see him in it. For a tv series, the show has great number of interesting characters actually, I gotta give them more credit for that :)
ReplyDelete*minor spoilers*
In the episode, Ruffnut's hair has grown back and more importantly, Toothless reached his shot limit D:
Spoiler ahead!
ReplyDeleteThe episode where Hiccup and Toothless take the lead is back!
I like the part where Toothless did his echo-locate ability. This time on a wide scale. It was nice to see Trader Johann back. So even he didn't miss the role to be the comedian(kind-of) in the series.
Boy, I have to say. That speed of the Speed Stinger reminds me of a ninja. It is definitely awesome! The short scene where the leader of the pack fought against Toothless and Hiccup was really cool. Hiccup looks badass in the battle. His choice of weapon, The Ornate Shield, was a really good choice. It saved him most of the time in most of his battle against the hostile dragons. ....Sometimes his action with swinging/throwing the shield reminds me of Captain America. Though, much better with Hiccup and the hidden function.
Hiccup really is quick to come up w/ solutions in their dire times of need. Ain't he great for a hiccup-y hero. Also, tell me if I miss this somewhere but that was the first time I see Toothless out of fireshot. I'm amazed that while most of the Berkians got stung right ahead with their confrontation with the Speed Stinger, Hiccup survived till the end (with Toothless' help though but still ...lucky? maybe but still cool to me.)
I'm not really into most of the comedy that they take with most episodes of DoB but I do like it when the twins are messing around with that frozen Snotlout. That's what you get for making fun of Astrid with his comment in Fright Of Passage, 'when the Flightmare comes, the Hofferson freezes'.
The little family part for Hiccup and his father are all well done too. Frozen Stoick looks majestic and powerful =) Oh, there he is, Thornado! He had an awesome part saving the teens too. In fact, everyone did amazingly well in their part in saving the day.
Now, where are the Hiccstrid fans? Be happy! You got your lil' Hiccstrid moment here. Finally. Their timing was nicely done and logical. It's short and sweet but suffice already. Astrid must be really happy to find Hiccup back and all safe =D
All in all, I'm really happy and happy with this week episode. Two thumbs up!
thornado!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyes... for 5 seconds :(
ReplyDeleteUnless it was made from yak fur or yarn, I don't think they have extensions back then.
ReplyDeleteYou know what, I am surprised no one has thought of that yet. To see if they can scare off the Screaming Death with eels?
ReplyDeleteHow do you know it is a she? (wait... maybe don't tell me.)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.watchcartoononline.com/dragons-defenders-of-berk-season-2-episode-14-frozen
ReplyDeleteThis was an awesome episode!!! It should go down as one of the best of the two year history of the show. There was so much action and excitement! It was like a mini HTTYD movie in itself!
ReplyDeleteGood episode. Okay, I'll be honest: Good to have an actual Hiccup episode again. ;)
ReplyDeleteI know you guys are probably MMOed out about now, but seems Mabinogi's having a "dragon raising" event.
This little guy look familiar to you? XD
Looks like she has spare extensions:
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/jsanford/status/424072373210714112
the thrid will be june 17 in 2016
ReplyDeleteBut then the timberjack and snap trapper..... I'm thinking episode 17 and 18 will be either of their episodes. Because in the first season, eps 18 and 17 were episodes with new dragons.
ReplyDeleteJust watched it... even better than free scauldy! It was kind of cool seeing Toothless finally run out of shots. The episode had an all out creepy feeling to it too.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was. I would have liked a bit more, but I'm just glad the Hiccstrid drought is over. Beggars can't be choosers!
ReplyDeleteSPOILER ALERT! >:(
ReplyDeleteWhile most of /co/ may disagree with me in saying that this show is great and is also getting better despite some low quality shading, I can't wait to see how much improvement we will see in the seasons to come, The pacing was well done and there were only a few gaps in the story's continuity. For a tv series though that is expected.
ReplyDeleteTotally, but I was thinking, how long does it usually take for the episode to be put up? I usually watch at watchcartoonsonline.com but this time it took like 3 days... Just wondering
ReplyDelete/Spoiler warning/
ReplyDeleteI just finished watching it! It was s cool! I felt so bad when Hiccup was all sad because his father was paralyzed. :( Does he always draw dragons in the sad when he is in the cove and troubled about something? And the part, when Hiccup went into Fishlegs' house, I thought that was a seed stinger. And I can't believe Fishlegs knocked Hiccup out!!! And the whole 'Can't believe we missed that' thing was so funny. XD But how was Toothless not paralyzed when his tail fin was hit?
I just realized... does this not count as a dragon raid? The first one on Berk ever since they befriended the dragons?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU TWITTER!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is just so awesome. I am just amazed at that theory right now.
ReplyDeleteWell... if you wanna know, actually it was not shown in the series and all, but...
ReplyDeleteWell, alright then. Next thing you know Hiccups made the same mistake as Fishlegs did and Toothless is really a girl! (That is not a shot at ToothlessXHiccup. I don't like that stuff.|:( )
ReplyDeleteWait what? :O
ReplyDeleteJust my inner bad parings hater talking. Just ignore her.
ReplyDeleteDont forget the skrill! ^^
ReplyDeleteThornado? In this episode? Oh my! This seems very epic in a wide scale and from your comment, it seems everyone gets their fair share of spotlight, although it seems Hiccup and Toothless episode?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you're not wrong, I'm surprised to see Toothless out of fire, since he's usually calculating, but... how can he reach his shot limit? If they can make Toothless out of shot, then the Stingers must be extremely tough to beat...
I guess no one has little to no nitpick about this episode *O*
Sorry :(
ReplyDeleteThe Speed Stinger hits the red mechanical tail fin. xD
ReplyDeleteI loved the episode and ps: toothless's face at the beginning was soooo adorable
ReplyDeleteYeah, they definitely look like Raptors (not that I've seen any !). Funny to have non-flying dragons. But after all, we have non-flying birds...
ReplyDeleteBut how did they crash land from that then? It would have just but a tiny tear in the fabric, which wouldn't do anything. There are dragons where their wings webbing is teared up at the ends and are fine.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank the lord we have progress! we actually got a Hiccup/Astrid hug and only one tiny snotlout thing, finally things are looking up lol
ReplyDeleteIt was probably a hole in the middle and like with the Red death's wings, the hole got bigger and bigger and eventually ripped.
ReplyDeleteTotally! How long does it take for an episode to be put up? Just wonderin'. ^^
ReplyDeleteIt is the series in which people can fall from 20 meters, allother dragons are evil and Toothless' "plasmablasts" are like a slight breeze.
ReplyDeleteikr, I was kinda shocked when she hugged him like that. We haven't had many hicstrid moments.
ReplyDeleteProbably my favorite episode yet! It was awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure. It's irregular sometimes. But for this episode, I checked it after I went back home from work. It's 8~9 hours after the show was aired. Not bad, right? =)
ReplyDeleteWith an adorable sadly face... poor thornado :'(
ReplyDeleteIt's here: http://www.animeflavor.com/dragons-season-2-defenders-of-berk-episode-14-frozen
ReplyDeleteBut I think enough people have been sent it xD
poor poor thornado :(
ReplyDeleteFor everyone kinda confused/let down about Ruffnut's hair (and not content on just writing it off on price constraints and remodeling issues):
ReplyDeleteCool! So I dont have to wait 3 days! ^^
ReplyDeleteSpoilers, of a sort-
ReplyDeleteFor everyone kinda confused/let down about Ruffnut's hair (and not
content on just writing it off on price constraints and remodeling
issues):
I'm wondering if some of the non-story arc parts of this season are not in chronological order; we seem to be bouncing around from spring to summer, to spring, to winter, to fall with some of these stories (not all), Perhaps "Free Scauldy" happens months before the long winter of "Frozen" (giving her time to grow at least some of her hair out), but after the harvest of the next episode?
Or maybe fish oil just has magical hair-growing properties ;-)
Did anyone else try to count? I think I got 12-13 before he ran out, but I'm not sure if there were any shots that I missed.
ReplyDeleteOn the Stoick/family note:
ReplyDeleteSeeing as that was really one of the driving relationships in the movie and the first half of RoB, I was SO happy to see interaction, tension and emotion between the Haddocks again. The "If you ever loved me" part was so great and just captured so much.
Also, it was fantastic to see hints of Hiccup's nerdiness again and how others (I'm looking at you, Snotlout) don't really respect that all of the time.
And, you know, before the "Captain America" bit was mentioned, I never thought of it, but now - I can't unsee it!!
I would like to point out a few things about this episode. Last episode Ruffnut cut off her hair; however in this episode her hair has grown back. I also noticed that Stormfly was stunned and so was Snotlout. However Stormfly is un-paralyzed way before Snotlout. During the end of the episode they tried to transport the leader of the dragons away from Berk. They could have avoided getting ambushed by just flying higher. Also the leader of the dragons could have stunned Stormfly even while he/she was being contained. Sorry, this was bothering me all episode.Whatever still love this show.
ReplyDeleteHello, I'm new here, been a lurker for a while.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if any of you noticed, a couple things I did.
1) Towards the end where hiccup and toothless was on the ice bridge and toothless was out of pasma blasts, I've never seen that before.
2)Around the same part of the show, astrid and stormfly were carrying the lead stinger out to the ice bridge and one of the stingers got storm fly again. If you listen closely you can almost here storm fly say (oh no)
I'm wondering if they'll start showing more of hiccup and astrids relationship getting closer by the time the movie comes.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it could have been a series finale, happening AFTER all of the other episodes, but would have made for a fairly boring finale.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else notice stormfly say (oh no) in frozen?
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome episode of DoB. Berk's weather is very inconsistent, it was snowy, but only a few parts of the island actually covered in snow. And most of the teens and their dragons, except Hiccup, Astrid and Ruffnut went a little bit stressed out. I like Toothless' expression when he and Hiccup tried to convince Stoick to get Johann. Those eyes, so cute *O*
ReplyDeleteAnd Johann's condition upon being rescued by Hiccup and Toothless... was very concerning albeit hilarious, he seemed like he hasn't sleep for hours. And who knows he likes to tell lots of stories? Reminds me of Koda from Brother Bear... XD
When Hiccup, Johann and Toothless find the village messy and empty, there is this somewhat horror and frightening atmosphere in the air. And I don't suspect a blanked expression Fishlegs can be such a surprising sight. Meatlug is pretty funny too. Her frozen stance... it was like she's "Fishlegs, go, save yourself from zombies!" XD
I got cracked up too when seeing she's dragging her half self, eager to find the Stingers. Though I think the comedic here mostly lies in Snotlout. At the beginning she questioned Astrid why does she love him so much, so... does that mean he hasn't really over Astrid? The Gustlout thing is funny too. Gustav is like Snotlout's puppeteer throughout the episode. And he seems getting better at riding dragons by now. Snotlout got bullied, real hard, not just by the Twins but Gustav as well, as he wasn't hesitate to messing with him a bit. He and Hookfang even seemed to have similar minds when they drop Snotlout. I guess he is now wanna be something better than his idol. I wonder where Fanghook was at this point...
The twins acted like a couple of secret agent when they're looking for the Stingers in the village XD
And how am I glad to see Thornado appear, even just a little. That poor dragon seemed to relieve to see Hiccup but mourned for his paralyzed rider. Stoick's frozen stance looked like a majestic legendary warrior statue. And the sight of the other frozen vikings... it was a little bit creepy. There seemed to be only a few of them which made me think some of them didn't survive the onslaught...
The battle with the Stingers is pretty epic. These dragons might be flightless, but they are really fast, seemingly pretty intelligent and brings a real threat for the vikings. Good thing they are not carnivores so the paralyzed vikings safe. Even a wild Nadder is afraid of its fellow Sharp class. If I must say, people should afraid more to the Stingers than the Flightmare, since the Stingers are traveling in a big pack, and their paralyzing venom lasts longer than Flightmare's paralyzing mist. The leader behaves like a cruel general who order his henchmen to execute a hopeless victim and attacks like an assassin. I find their ability to sleep upside down is a little weird. Also, some of the Stingers' barking sound like the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park! Cool touch.
Let me explain, last episode was probably a few months back, probably enough time for Ruff to grow back most of hair. And about the Stormfly thing, humans most likely take longer to "un-paralyze". A metal cage and small dragon full of venom would've been quite heavy, especially when you are carrying a rider. The leader wasnt able to stun Stormfly because the tail couldnt reach. (Dont worry, I was bothered this stuff too) XD
ReplyDeleteHICCUP GOT HIS SQUID INK!!!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else feel so happy here?
lol, yeah. I had almost forgotten about his ink. Now Toothless just needs to spill this one so Johann can come back!
ReplyDeleteActually, everyone else probably did but was still back at the cove. And he was beginning to 'recover' first because he could mumble talk, (who knows what he was saying though.) and then Snotlout got mobility in his head (Which was creepy) and then Stoick fully recovered and came some time after Snotlout was hit again.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it was because frozen takes place in devastating winter, some months later. And lazy writers/animators don't bother giving her short hair for a little while longer.
ReplyDeleteWhy did Ruffnut have long hair in this episode! >:(
ReplyDeleteWhy Cartoon Network WHY?!?!?!?
Still love the series though........
