Cartoon Network Synopsis: The gang must help the town ready for harvest but Hookfang and Stormfly are at each other's throats.
Facebook Synopsis: Snotlout and Hookfang are such a good team! But what makes them think they're better than Astrid and Stormfly? Probably Astrid and Stormfly challenging them!
Below are a couple new pictures from the episode!
did anyone else see this coming? I did. of course hiccup and toothless have to break up the fight. and here's a pic from facebook.
ReplyDeleteI'm achally exsited to see how the bonds change
ReplyDeleteI think the sixth picture pretty much sums up the entire episode.
ReplyDeletethis is just wrong in so many ways
ReplyDeleteCan't wait. Sounds like a good episode. I wouldn't mind seeing Stormfly do more action. (No, I didn't copy that from the other commenters.) Where are the twins? I know they're not in the spotlight now, but they usually have a little shot of at everyone.
ReplyDeleteGood grief Astrid, when are you going to learn to back off? You're gonna make a mess of the harvest!
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to point out that the first pic looks like Hookfang is trying to burn down (or smoke) Mildew's old house. Probably occurs at the end of the episode? Could this also mean that we'll get some action with Mildew and Dagur included?
ReplyDeleteThat would make me happy till next week
ReplyDeleteGuys i found an awesome new oceanzap pic!!!
ReplyDelete(its really blurry though) :(
Why is Hiccup always having to resolve others problems? And was Snotlout riding Stormfly!? (Can't wait to see Astrid riding temperamental Hookfang.\0
ReplyDeleteOh, one of those switch places to see how the other likes it game. XD With the first image in mind I think it will turn out well. XDDDD
ReplyDeleteOh that looks AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteCool. Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteThat is just soooo wrong, I prefer having hookfang driving Snotlout crazy.
ReplyDeleteI hope Astrid wins, Snotlout is just too much of a jerk.
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems like Stormfly's face isn't as animated (no pun intended) as the other dragons. You can read expressions on the other dragons, but the Nadder face seems more frozen. Maybe because they were drawn with bird-like features. The Zippleback seems to have the same problem.
ReplyDeleteSo, is the see how the other likes it for the dragons or riders?
ReplyDeleteBy seeing the pictures, Hookfang seems to be content of Astrid riding on him, maybe she treats him better? I don't know if I can say the same for Stormfly though! Poor girl, she looks exhausted.
ReplyDeleteSo, I think this is gonna be really awesome episode and I'm excited for a lot of reasons, but... is it really necessary to develop Snotlout and Astrid's relationship further? I mean, it's already been revealed that Snotlout stops flirting with Astrid and turns to Ruff instead, and Hiccup and Astrid are pretty much signed sealed and delivered, so I'm not sure why the writers keep coming back to it. It just seems like filler to me, when they could be spending more time on other characters, relationships, and elements (I think we've all noticed that there hasn't been a solid Hiccup/Toothless episode in a while). It also feels like an attempt to give Astrid some spotlight without developing her relationship with Hiccup, since they were supposedly instructed to stay away from it. Don't get me wrong; I understand that instruction and the reasoning behind it. I'm just getting a little tired of the Harry/Ron/Hermione triangle feel that they've given Hiccup, Snotlout, and Astrid. It just seems inconsistent. Anyway, sorry for my negative rant. :) I'm a little skeptical but in all honesty I'm really excited for this episode, especially some Stormfly action. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I just practically repeated this comment in mine without meaning too. Sorry. :) I agree whole-heartedly!
ReplyDeleteI saw this picture on the wiki too. I never expected (or hoped) the oceanzap could fly, it looks like a purely aquatic dragon, with fins and a ray look.
ReplyDeletemaybe it is like a flying fish where it glides along the surface for a bit.
ReplyDeleteNeato! I wonder where this came from! I actually wonder if these can really fly. Sometimes promotion images are not accurate to the film (Toothless being blue in HTTYD1's advertising shows that. Also in some images he even had wing hooks). Still... this species looks beautifully unique. Can't wait to see Toothless duke it out with them. Man, I love the design! How cool!
ReplyDeleteYeah, and we all probably have an idea of how a fight between a dragon that can shoot poisonous spines and a dragon that can set its self on fire.
ReplyDeleteWhoah, Oceanzap! So majestic! Where did you find this? It looks awesome in every way. I hope it will be introduced in a proper way and get enough screentime to see it's full capabilities.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to like this guy...
Hold on, there's a Whispering Death. Could this mean it will make appearance in the movie as well? *O*
Maybe it can burst out of water and glide for a short time. I think I've heard Manta rays can do that. And... I think they are based on stingrays.
ReplyDeleteA very mismatched rider and dragon...
ReplyDeleteMaybe this episode finally clears the matters between them and Snotlout will fully stop flirting with Astrid. In the last episode, he seemed still at it, said "Astrid, why do you love me so much?"
ReplyDeleteAnd probably we'll eventually see how does Snotlout turn to Ruffnut instead. Just chill... :)
Come to think of it, Deadly Nadder's spines are said to be poisonous but so far, no one seems to actually got hit by its spines and get poisoned...
ReplyDeleteBecause he's the leader, thinker and planner of the group?
ReplyDeleteThey do, but in Defenders of Berk the twins start to be more useful and much more screentime, especially Ruff.
ReplyDeleteI think they could be based on Mobulas (a genus of rays), if you look at their head it's similar, and torpedoes (another genus of rays) because their tails are similar and torpedoes can generate electricity. Mobulas can also do what you say, breach and glide for a short time, so if the oceanzap is based on them is possible they do that.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I gather, it's less "duke it out", and more "the Oceanzaps kick his ass." Because Toothless translated into Klingon is Worf.
ReplyDeleteI think the new enemy in the next episode is
ReplyDeleteAlvin's dragon.
I agree with both of you, we need more Hiccup and Asrid
ReplyDeleteHow so?
ReplyDeleteHey you might be right about that poster thing! Or then it is just every week.
ReplyDeleteon HTTYD wikia
ReplyDeletei wish they posted the whole thing
I think it would cool to see Snotlout and Astrid battle it out. I also agree with you KentuckyWildcat, it would be epic to learn a little more about Stormfly. They already did a whole episode about Hookfang (Race To Fireworm Island), Meatlug (Iron Gronkle), they are always doing one about Toothless. Its Stormflys time to shine!!!
ReplyDeleteMy brother told me that they are coming out after every episode. I hope Snotlout is next!!
ReplyDeleteIs that a hint of sarcasm or are you being genuinely honest? If it is the later yes I do think that would be interesting to watch.
ReplyDeleteThis is the whole thing:
ReplyDeleteSo we'll get an oceanzap and a timberjack?
ReplyDeletevaoh.....is that cloudjumper?
ReplyDeleteYes, and there is also a snaptrapper there. I wouldn't get my hopes up about this dragons appearing on defenders of berk though, it looks like they just pasted as many promotional images they could find.
ReplyDeletesorry for the size ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're at Mildew's house because he was the Berk cabbage farmer. But now since he's lying, treacherous, dirty Outcast (you all know it's true) there is no cabbage for the harvest. So the riders are trying to fix that.
ReplyDeleteI can't see it all i can make out is snotlout.
ReplyDeleteawesome i wish it were bigger though
ReplyDeletei spy with my little eye...jk
ReplyDeletea oceanzap a timber jack a skrill a cloudjumper and a snapptrapper
heres the full pic
ReplyDeleteif you open it in a new tab it is a lot bigger
ReplyDeletei am soooooo excited about this pic
ReplyDeleteit has an awesome skrill and timberjack
and a cloudjumper
maybe...
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it's going to be an epic episode!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or in the first picture, does it look like Toothless is in the smoke? I hope Hookfang isn't toasting anyone!
yea it does
ReplyDeletehas anyone else heard anything about this dragon i think the name is
ReplyDeletemarsh tiger it seems pretty cool
Haha, you're right. *makes meditory pose* I'm calm. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that is some Fan Art. It has a deviantART URL at the bottom, which suggests so. I think the artist used similar runes to those of the movie to make some realistic artwork.
ReplyDeleteanother new picture...
ReplyDeleteI guess that this is not the real demo of the soundtracks (HTTYD2), right? If not, is still amazing! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTHrAk4gjYo
ReplyDeleteAnd if in the episode that really happen... omg then your comment would be spoilers :P Haha XD
ReplyDeleteIt seems so weird to see Snotlout on Stormfly...
ReplyDeleteAstrid need to win, of course ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhy there is cloudjumper and an oceanzap there? I mean, is this not only a book about defenders of berk?
ReplyDeleteNow that we can see the oceazap more closer... it seems a beautiful dragon! These face of the oceanzaps reminds me of a swordfish a little... :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all the dragons in the sequel! Wooh :D
yes it's like very cool :)
ReplyDeleteBingo!!!!!!!!!! it was in the Book of dragons short films.right? chocolate smell uhn?XD
ReplyDeleteI think the defenders of berk will have the snaptraper, timberjack and ocean zap. After all we were promised a timberjack.
ReplyDeleteyup
ReplyDeleteoh thanks :)
ReplyDeleteActually, the marsh tiger is real. It is on the httyd wiki and if it was fake they would have removed it by now.
ReplyDeletehttp://howtotrainyourdragon.wikia.com/wiki/Marsh_Tiger
That's from HTTYD 1, isn't it? Although I like that they used the Toothless image I photoshopped as the background. :)
ReplyDeleteNo sarcasm. I really would like to see a Nadder and Nightmare go full out battle and see who wins! I'd bet on the Nadder.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't often that someone is actually struck with one. And we haven't seen any dragon or viking hit in the show/movie/shorts. So we can only assume it would poison a viking if it didn't kill them from the injury first, and a dragon would be less affected because it would take more poison to take it down.
ReplyDeleteWell this will be an interesting episode.
ReplyDeleteWHERE'D YOU FIND THAT
ReplyDeleteIf there is a chance of this, I really hope more than anything the one that starts at 0:58 will be in the movie. Imagine the dragon army and the berkians (if the berkians are apart of it) winning the battle. Everything just kind of stops, all there is is silence besides the crackling of a nearby fire. The music begins to play as Hiccup stands tall and everyone realizes they won, and at 1:26 everyone cheers. Ohhhh if only. XD
ReplyDeleteAh… It's been so long. I still follow this website though, and I have been. I suppose I became sucked into other Fandoms, and didn't have time to participate in the HTTYD one as much. I'm going to attempt to make a comeback… best I can. Which means I need to catch up on the past three episodes. XD
ReplyDeleteMe right now
ReplyDeleteThe song at 0:58 is just a repeat of "New Tail" from the HTTYD1 soundtrack. It's one of my favorite melodies in the entire album, in fact I figured out how to play it on the guitar!
ReplyDeleteIt is confirmed that the Oceanzap will appear in the second movie. I don't think that he will been also shown in the series.
ReplyDeleteAmmm ... one thing ... Hiccup looks sad in that cliff (by his position). Also, in the trailer he smiles very sad in that cliff. And that cliff is where he was talking with Atrid in the second trailer (when she says "is in here").
ReplyDeleteOkay, so ... and if not the same scene? And if are two different scenes in the same place? And if something bad happens with Astrid at the end of the film and Hiccup, returning to the cliff, is sad remembering when they spoke there?
It's only an idea.
You're right. It is just the edited score from the first movie. But the guy who made it is really talented with synthesizing programms, I couldn't do it that good. :)
ReplyDeleteI think someone should make a gif of this color switch, it looks awesome.
Wikis can be... unreliable, to say the least. Unless there's a proper source for that, I wouldn't put too much stock in it yet.
ReplyDeletehe should because i think they are trying to make them come by favorites with the kids and then have the adults come out
ReplyDeletethat cliff is were they are play fighting and the scene were hiccup and astrid are talking is on berk at least thats what it looks like to me. also i wonder if its painful sitting on his leg like that
ReplyDeletei think that this is just someone playing with the music from the first movie
ReplyDeleteToothless looks happy though :)
ReplyDeleteWell... I think the wiki page is mostly speculation. It is briefly mentioned in one of the HTTYD books. Nothing more than that is really solid.
ReplyDeleteHuh... well now THAT is confusing. The dragons and riders in this all look like they are from DoB... except for the Saeshock/Oceanzap. Will that dragon actually show up in the series? I assumed he was only going to appear in the sequel. Awesome image... just a shame that Toothless is blue. The Skrill looks nice though!
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize for sharing an opinion that was similar to mine. There was obviously no ill intent on your part.
ReplyDeleteHey guys! Here's some awesome sauce!
ReplyDeleteAccording to the online schedule of Cartoon Network, the next episode (ep 17) is called "Smoke gets in your eyes" coming on February 12th!
Nope, its the same cliff. Its also the cliff in that scene with Obama blocking our view.
ReplyDeleteI would cwy. :'(
ReplyDeleteGuys new DRAGONS PICTURE
ReplyDeleteBecause of their spikes and super-hot fire? Yeah I'd go with that and I think they're a lot more agile than a Nightmare.
ReplyDeleteits in the oceanzap page
ReplyDeleteThanks! Also its ironic because I love Hans Zimmer too XD
ReplyDeleteThe episode was good from what I saw of the choppy livestream on my slow netbook, but please...
ReplyDeletePLEASE...
No more Snotlout and Astrid..
~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~
ReplyDeleteOooh BOOYYY!!! I can hear the Hiccstrid fans now... -listens- Yep, here they come, torches and all. So here is my review for this episode.
~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~ Spoiler alert ~
So in this episode, it focuses a LOT on Astrid and Snotlout. Hiccstrid fans, brace yourselves. This will be tough to watch. It starts with Astrid and Snotlout competing with each other, as usual.. They are in Mildews field, cleaning up rocks and weeds.
They continue to argue.. Until their dragons get involved. This only leads to blame games and more furious outbursts from both riders and dragons. Hiccup gets in the middle to stop it, but can't figure out how to stop it. They walk away wordlessly after Hiccup decides they need to work together. He goes home and Stoick seems smugly aware that there is a problem. Astrid pounds on the door and says she can't work with Snotlout, Snotlout doing the same moments later.
A short Hiccup outburst later, of "astrid and snotlout and their dragons driving him crazy" tyrade later, Stoick comes in to help, lending the idea of having them work together. Hiccup puts them together, but they figure it out. They agree to work together.. Their dragons start fighting just when all seems solved. Then Hiccup comes up with the idea to switch dragons, and each rider grows to like the others dragon. They go to feed the others dragon in secret and seem to be growing closer.
But then the dragons escape and they must find them. Meanwhile Meatlug/Fishlegs have discovered something. Later we find out it is dragon root, which makes dragons have the same effect as dragon nip only MUCH worse.. In this case making them attack anything in sight.
So when Hiccup can't help as much, we find out gronckles are immune to dragon root, so Meatlug tries to dig it out. Meanwhile the dragons are fighting, so Astrid gets in front of Stormfly and Snotlout in front of Hookfang, saying if they wanted to hurt the other dragon they would have to go through them first.
Then they switch dragons, finding that as long as Hiccup is riding Snotlouts dragon, and vice versa, the dragons keep their cool and refuse to attack. Using new moves each rider learned on the new dragon, they get the dragon root out and put it away. In the end they seem to be becoming fast friends...
~~~
Now I am not sure what this means for Hiccstrid... We might actually see a romance. To be sure I asked on Jsanfords twitter, i am not gonna take a screenshot just copy paste it.. He hasn't responded yet but it was only posted a few minutes ago.
It is under this conversation, in case you wanted to keep an eye on it. I will post his reply if/when I get one.
@nicholasbloom1 Or HeathCup. HiccTHER....SnotTHER. ...
Stephanie Gerndt @lilgerndt24h
@jsanford @nicholasbloom1 Question. Snotlout and Astrid seem to be getting closer. Any chance of a Snotlout/Astrid romance in DoB/HTTYD 2?
*SPOILERS FOLLOW*
ReplyDeleteSo this was an OK episode, but definitely not among my favorites so far. It actually got off to a really strong start by focusing on Hiccup's growth as a leader. Character development/continuity is one of my chief concerns with any story, so I loved the scene with Stoick imparting some wisdom and leadership skills to Hiccup since we hadn't really had a good father/son moment in some time. The subtle insinuation that Hiccup was more concerned with appeasing Astrid than Snotlout was also a nice little touch on the character front.
Unfortunately, I didn't think the rest of the episode continued at that level of quality. First, there wasn't nearly as much dragon personality on display as I had hoped considering the premise of the episode. More importantly, I felt like Astrid and Snotlout became too friendly with each other far too quickly. I could see them learning to tolerate each other for the greater good, but not much more than that given their personalities (and the fact that he's still a wannabe ladies' man who constantly harasses her). The dynamic between them by the end of the episode just seemed too forced.
Sorry if this seems a bit too negative. That's just my gut reaction. Hopefully this will be the end of the frankly tiresome Astrid/Snotlout material and we can move on to something stronger next week.
The graphics seemed better on this episode and the dragon root is interesting it is so coveted that it makes the dragons greedy
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does anyone else think this is a cover for the Season 2 DVD for Defenders of Berk with teaser for Season 3 (Masters of Berk)
ReplyDeletethe next episode is the eel effect in which they fight a new enemy?
ReplyDeletewho could it be
so it might have a few astrid/snotlout scenes but not a lot
ReplyDeleteI hate to spoil the show for those who haven't seen it yet, but the reason Stormfly and Hookfang were going at it was because of a dragon root that was buried in the field where the kids were working.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing: who would of thought that having Snotlout and Astrid switch dragons would help solve their differences?
I really don't have a good guess about the new enemy. The title doesn't give much of a hint unless the new enemy is actually some sort of eel. For some reason I feel like that isn't it though. We'll just have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteand yet, taking down a nadder was the lowest rank dragon you could take down to 'at least get noticed' as mentioned by Hiccup at the beginning of the movie, and nightmare was top rank.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few scenes on the cliff, toothless pouting, toothless and hiccup play fighting, and there is something in a vid of president obama touring dreamworks studio where we see the full scene of the astrid 'is in here' thing, hiccup says "The sun is shining, Terrible Terrors are singing on the rooftop, I sotter down to breakfast thinking all is right in the world and I get (imitates Stoick) 'Son we need to talk." and then some stuff about Astrid making a bad imitation of him self. So there is a few different emotions during the different scenes.
ReplyDeleteSweet! where did you find this?
ReplyDeleteAlot of the songs from the first movie had repeated courses, especially stuff from this is berk, so since john powell is writing the music again this sounds like a mix of new tail, this is berk, romantic flight, and a few other things so it could just be a suite or something else. But it is possibly from httyd 2.
ReplyDeleteActually, it's the cover of a book.
ReplyDeleteMusic from one of the trailers! it is EPICNESS
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj13jNc3e2E
Ill write you back the name
ReplyDeleteApologies for that depending on which stream you were watching. Although if it helps I did realize what was wrong and more than likely caused it. I derped, I was streaming via wireless instead of an actual line which is generally a big old NO DO NOT DO. So again apologies for that it shouldn't happen again in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteHookfang the BEST wingman ever!
ReplyDeleteWell you're definitely on to something with the plot. We know that Dean (Director) said Hiccup has everything at the beginning of the movie~ dragons living with vikings, a great girlfriend, etc. And by the end Hiccup will be broken. That the tone of this movie will be darker like 'The Empire Strikes back'. So I think something will happen to Astrid, Valka, Stoick, or even Toothless! I speculate that he will have to 'think' someone has passed on in order to really break his heart, or else he'd just determine to go after and rescue whoever it was that was in trouble. But I doubt that whoever it is would really be dead~ I mean that would be a little too heavy for a Dream Works movie don't you think? Anyway, as for the pic Hiccup could be reflecting sadly, or I suspect it's a cropped shot and he and Toothless are actually gazing at something in the distance. Only time will tell right? (133 days to be exact! :0)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes it was.(Yes I am horrible I know :) )
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness though I enjoyed this episode it most certainly was absent Hiccup and Astrid and I'm okay with that. It's nice getting to see the other teens relationships develop as well I'm sure Astrid and Snotlout will go back to being sick of each other soon enough. (maybe not until after they learn how to do those new moves though) It was disappointing we didn't get to see more from the dragons themselves though. The root was interesting to know about. I do have one question though why is it that Dragon nip affects Meatlug but not the root? Other than that however bring on more things like this Snotlout and the twins,Fishlegs and Astrid, Fishlegs and Hiccup, or Gobber and Stoick even. On that note I have to admit I loved Stoick this episode dat smugness with Hiccups just meltdown it was great.
I thought "breaking him again" was the premise of the *start* of the movie? You know, giving him something new to have to grow past?
ReplyDeleteMaybe, Stoick dies? I mean many people are saying someone is going to die and that cliff is where Hiccup imitates his father, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBut I see cloudjumper! and a snaptrapper..... AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteSoundtracks are recorded 1-2 months before thearitcal release.
ReplyDeleteSo it was a descent episode I loved the fact both hiccup and toothless lost it in the episode cuz hiccup didn't last week
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was your stream, but even if it was, my netbook is acer and its REALLY slow. It takes a half hour just to log on to SoD. But the minutes were counting down, my kindle didn't support flash player, my phone just put a sad face on the page, and I really just wanted to feel what it was like to watch it at the same time as everyone else instead of waiting till today. XD
ReplyDeleteOooh I really hope they don't kill off Astrid. The characters I most don't want killed off are Astrid, Hiccup, and Toothless. </3
ReplyDeleteSnaptrapper! Timberjack! Cloudjumper!... what, wait Cloudjumper on Berk??? It will appear only in the second film, isn't it? I must buy this book!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm think Smokesbreath dragons coming back!
ReplyDeleteIt's an old songs title too xD.
I heard thet video formerly. These songs from the first movie, right?
ReplyDeleteEhh, most of the vikings (including Hiccup) either overestimated or underestimated a lot of the dragon breeds. I think after the war ended the dragons were started to be seen on equal grounds.
ReplyDeleteI found this cover on some site and then posted it on my Tumblr: http://serimon.tumblr.com/post/74848493235/new-dragons-defenders-of-berk-book-to-be
ReplyDeleteThat's how it appeared on the internet. :)
I really liked this episode. It was interesting to see Hiccup thinking of himself as a great leader, although he did get a little too full of himself for a moment like Snotlout called him out on in last years Defiant One episode. Still it made me wonder is Hiccup thinking on some level he could do the chief thing. His interaction with Stoick really did seem like a viking chief training lesson.
ReplyDeleteYeah sort of, but there is still stuff like how the Skrill can take on a Night Fury easy when something like a Gronckel would be powned
ReplyDeleteIt's all about advantages and disadvantages. Even the vikings have them. ;)
ReplyDeleteA short cameo perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. The new dragons for the second movie are exclusive. They are DW-developed while the new dragons from the series are created from CN. They will never be shown in the movies.
ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteI got most of 'em correct except 4.
lol I guess so I love hiccup's flip out in the episode!
ReplyDeleteYeah, like how Toothless and Hiccup were able to defeat the red death because of it's size being a advantage, and disadvantage at the same time.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I hope we'll get to see some more brainpower from Hiccup and Toothless in the next movie. :D
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get this information? I am truly curious here, I don't know what websites to get this kind of information on, and I really want to know this stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. I read that wrong. I thought it read "Hiccup and Toothless have A breakup fight." As in they have a fight and ignore each other or something. It was so unbelievable that I was hoping you were kidding. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI think the whole Astrid/Snotlout thing is just a friendship relationship, don't expect every relationship to be romantic.
ReplyDeleteEpisode link!!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://animeflavor.com/dragons-season-2-defenders-of-berk-episode-15
oh yeah... that is all any httyd fan wants to see. We haven't seen any HiccupXToothless (FRIENDSHIP, not pairing.) episodes for a while. While it is nice for the others to have spotlights, they are kind of the main characters. We don't see a lot of action from Toothless lately either.
ReplyDeleterelax you don't really think they would be pushing snotstrid together when hiccstrid is canon do you besides it was just teamwork development no romantic intention when i see astrid with hiccup i see chemistry
ReplyDeleteexactly christine and seeing negative comments like that about hiccstrid makes me ashamed to even ship them i mean some fans actually think the tv series team is not allowed to touch their relationship which i find hilarious we got a hiccstrid hug in frozen for crying out loud when they are together you can see how much they care for eachother season 2 may not have much hiccstrid as season 1 but atleast there is some
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly how I felt after viewing this episode. I couldn't find the right words to express my reaction and you have done so perfectly. Thankyou!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIm not a huge fan of hiccstrid moments, but we are having more snotstrid moments then I would like.. But I loved how Astrid and Snotlout finally stopped fighting, if only for a bit. Although, Frozen is still my favorite episode so far.
ReplyDeleteYES! That means that we wont have to wait long!!! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteYES!!! I thought there would be a break in between this episode and The Eel Effect, but Cartoon Network shows that there will NOT be a break! It even says that the episode after that is Smoke Gets in Your Eyes! That just made my day! XD
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the episodes will continue to keep coming weekly until the season is finished. It wouldn't make sense to go on even a short hiatus when there'd be only three episodes left. ;)
ReplyDeleteHEY! I have the names of more upcoming episodes! (keep in mind I got this from Wikipedia so it might not be correct) I already told you about The Eel Effect and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. Here are more: Bing, Bang, Boom and Cast Out Part 1. I think the season is going to end on Cast Out Part 2, unless we have more than 20 episodes.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be seeing plenty of that in HTTYD2 I believe. :D
ReplyDeleteI know, but the show is about berk dragon training academy, I don't think any of the academy will be shown in the movie too much, so stuff all around is nice too.
ReplyDeleteI watched the episode last night, the part when Hiccup broke down and freaked out about Snotlout and Astrid to his dad was HILARIOUS!
ReplyDeleteif that was true I'd be sobbing!
ReplyDeleteHEY, guys!! But where are this information about killed Astrid from? Or "broken Hiccup"? Because, to be honest, I became very upset because of spoilering, but more of any problems of Hiccup. Is there any official info about a trouble that is going to meet Hiccup or are those only speculations? Please, answer, because I'm really worrying :(
ReplyDeleteDoes enybody know where i can download this episode?
ReplyDeleteHey, guys, I've got a question. Because I'm really upset since yesterday's evening when I saw this new image.
ReplyDeleteIs there official information that something really strange will happen? Or are those only speculation? Please answer what you know or think, because I'm getting really upset :(
HEY, guys!! But where are this information about killed Astrid from? Or "broken Hiccup"? Because, to be honest, I became very upset because of spoilering, but more of any problems of Hiccup. ReplyDeleteif you can call them moments anyway to me it was just teamwork
ReplyDeleteSorry for this comment, I was thinking that my previous hasn't appeared ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry for this comment, I was thinking that my previous hasn't appeared... ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Snotlout/Astrid in this episode killed me.. like seriously I thought I was gonna throw up myself, especially at the end. This really needs to stop
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't think the academy will be present either, I just want to see some HicTooth bromance. XDDD
ReplyDeleteWell we can all say that the episode had no Hiccup/Astrid at all and was basically all Astrid/Snotlout... wanted to punch a wall.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but I have a feeling that this movie won't have as much as we expect, because last movie was all about them and their forbidden friendship, this one is more about other stuff that I wont mention because I don't like giving spoilers.
ReplyDeleteI drew these. Hope you like them!
ReplyDeleteAll from this fabulous site, in earlier posts.
ReplyDeleteMaybe... I mean, it did say he was pressured to being chief, and "Protect our.."
ReplyDeleteYeah, that didn't happen. But I agree that SHOULD happen. (I don't have italicts) Hicstrid, as they call it, has been disappearing.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteAny chance??? Not really, I mean, I don't know, but in HTTYD2 I'm assuming you saw Snotlout complimenting Ruff, "The last single lady on Berk". Dob, maybe...
ReplyDeleteHey, they're awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember someone promised that there would be an episode from the dragon view, but looks like it disappeared.
ReplyDeleteCalm down, calm down.
ReplyDeleteSo far that I saw from some people who spoils the storyline for the sequel, it will throw Hiccup into a BIG problem that takes him into a sorrow state. But this spoil info is not even confirmed yet but likely. As for Astrid being dead... it's not even confirm. It's just flying rumor. Take it easy, even if she's dead maybe ...should I continue?
IKR! Do it! Punch the wall! ..just kidding =)
ReplyDeleteThis season is likely not to have anymore Hiccstrid. It will focus more on the relation between Hiccup's teammates. So, expect to only see more of the spotlight on Hiccup's friends from now on for this season, Fishlegs, Snotlout, the twins, Astrid. Because that's what I see from this series so far. Well, most of it.
Patience, buddy. Let's look forward to Hiccup and Toothless battle against Dagur or Screaming Death in this season.
:D no, better don't continue. But thanks for answer ;)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't get too worried about the possibility of Astrid dying. In addition to the real-world fact that America Ferrera was named as part of the HTTYD 3 cast in one of the official announcements of this being a trilogy, it just doesn't make too much sense story-wise to kill her off from what we know right now.
ReplyDeleteCressida Cowell has hinted that the movie trilogy and her book series will share an ending that explains why dragons are no longer in our world. Sadly, that sounds kind of ominous for Toothless. So to avoid this being a completely depressing tragedy from start to finish, Hiccup will need someone to be there for him at the end when all the dust clears. I think Astrid will most likely be that person even if they have some bumps along the way. If there's going to be a tragic death in HTTYD 2, my own speculation is that it will most likely be Valka.
I'm not some crazy "shipper" (as I've since found out such people are apparently labeled) afraid that Snotlout is going to steal her away. I just like analyzing characters and their development in stories I like.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the emphasis on the Astrid/Snotlout relationship this season has become a bit overbearing, and takes time away from plot-lines and relationships I think would be far more worthy of exploring. I also think it goes against everything that's been previously established about their characters that they would be anything approaching good friends at the end of this episodes events. That's all I'm trying to say.
Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI know right!? D:
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that found it ironic that the dragon root was planted in Mildew's field, almost like he put it there since he hates dragons.
ReplyDeleteyup
ReplyDeleteyeah I guess it is ironic that it was in his feld
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just after Hiccup and Toothless were playfighting, then they stop suddenly and Hiccup thinks about what his father told him that morning and stares off into the ocean. Or this could be after he had the talk with Astrid and she leaves maybe to let him think about it. Or like you said, he could be returning to that same cliff in the end. Lots of possibilities..
ReplyDeleteI'm Sorry for being a noob but is "the wiki" just plain wikipedia?
ReplyDeleteI just watch this episode, and I think I need to get used to this, seeing Snotlout and Astrid on a friendly term. On the other hand, I guess we're done seeing his constant attempt of flirting to her... Perhaps.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to see more personality of Stormfly, but at least she has shown some expressions, which normally she doesn't since her eyes shape seem to prevent her from being expressive. Now I just notice how hot her fire is.
Hookfang seems to agree with Astrid and apparently shares the same opinion about Snotlout with her. He works with Astrid really well, even better than with his original rider I guess. I still find it weird to see Snotlout on Stormfly though.
And it seems Hookfang has a new ability (I exclude Stormfly's single spine shot as a new ability since it's basically the same ability, albeit only one spine being shoot), while the dragons are shown to be able generate a gust of wind by flapping their wings rapidly, Hookfang generates a strong wind blast with one flap. Perhaps he doesn't show Snotlout he can do it to prevent Snotlout's growing ego? But I'm still curious how come Astrid never knew Stormfly can shot a single spine out of her tail...
I can't tell much about this episode other than this seems to be so-so for me. While they're now have a special drill in case of the Screaming Death returns, she hasn't been seen lately. I'm hoping we get to see her soon since it's been a while since her last appearance and it's only around 4 episodes left to go...
And I think for the first time Hiccup freaks out. It's not everyday we see him like that, and he actually asks for Stoick's advice, not the other way around. Stoick did receive advice from either Gobber or Hiccup often, but I guess this is the first time he got advice from his dad.
He replied on his twitter that there was "No chance" for a Snotlout/Astrid relationship!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. What r they??
ReplyDeleteWow, these new designs are truly AMAZING!!! Can't wait to see the dragons in action! :-)
