A new How to Train Your Dragon 2 character poster featuring Astrid and Stormfly was released today on J-14's website! The article comes with this description of the movie:
In the sequel, Hiccup and Toothless are working together to save the future of men and dragons from the evil Drago. Astrid will join forces with her boyfriend Hiccup and her magnesium dragon Stormfly, to help take down Drago.
What do you think of the poster?
Thanks thejdkproductions and inhonoredglory!
Don't forget the link. ^_^ http://www.j-14.com/posts/exclusive-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-character-poster-19180
ReplyDeleteWho found out and notified you first?
ReplyDeleteWhoa I just saw that article from my email alert. Thanks for the one without the watermark! "Magnesium" dragon, gosh! She looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteNo problem...just doing what I love. Obsessing over HTTYD! ^_^ XD
ReplyDeleteIt has a very metallic shine to it.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so pretty. :3 And omg that text calls Hiccup her boyfriend! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, it's there now! I make sure the most important things are there first.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteProbably thejdkproductions and inhonoredglory.
ReplyDeleteYeah quick and efficient you are. :D
ReplyDelete@James Kukis and @inhonoredglory (thanks)!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT :D It's amazing o-o
ReplyDeleteFrom a technical view, this movie is the greatest masterpiece ever exist (like the first movie in 2010). I've worked for years with computeranimation and I've never seen this grade of detail. Not Even Weta Digital (Avatar, Hobbit, etc.) can keep up with such modelling, painting, lighting and with 'Primo' also with the animation of this movie.
ReplyDeleteProbably. XD
ReplyDeleteNow I want one with valka and cloudjumper.
ReplyDeleteOk, this is stinking amazing! Seriously. WONDERFUL! I am not really a huge fan of Astrid (I do like her, but she was never a big draw for me in the film), but THIS is SO exciting! Darn, I'm starting to think she's gonna climb the ranks in my list of favorite fictional characters! Seriously, this poster is beautiful! The details in the texturing are just superb! AMAZING. Also, it seems sorta clear that we might get a line of these kinds of images! One of Hiccup and Toothless at first, now we get Astrid, but I am really hoping we will get the other teens and maybe even characters like Stoick or Valka. I always catch myself forgetting how big of a deal DreamWorks is gonna make this film, and then this stuff comes out, and I bounce against the walls in utter excitement!
ReplyDeleteThis pretty much confirms that Hiccup and Astrid are together in the movie. ...I hope.
ReplyDeleteWhy? I think, she's too soft. All the power of Astrid (1) is gone! :( That's a little princess, not a warrior. Poor Hiccup.. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletesoon...
ReplyDeleteShe looks nice and this one and I like how we get to see Stormfly up close!
ReplyDeleteWhat has a metallic shine?
ReplyDeleteI need to do email alerts. My dragon-finding methods are too low-tech right now. XD
ReplyDeleteYes! I just knew Astrid would get an upgrade in the role for this movie. I was worried at first that she would be a demoted extra like they did with Master Shifu in KFP2. I love this poster by the way. :D
ReplyDeleteWhat's stopping her from fighting well and and looking awesome too? I mean, she does have a belt of bird skulls, so she can't have gone too soft. XD
ReplyDeleteI don't think we need to worry too much. She's got a sassy smirk on this one, and in the trailer we already know she's pretty badass at dragon races. :)
ReplyDeleteBASED ASTRID!
ReplyDeleteGod, the poster is so fucking beautiful.
Wait. Did the description just say Hiccup was Astrid's boyfriend???
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteHow in great Odin's beard did you manage to get that watermark off?!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think their kids will have great noses.
ReplyDeleteA little bit of this
ReplyDeleteaha, yes, indeed ! That's what I thought when I saw grown Hiccup for the first time !
ReplyDeleteMe too, and the détails are so great and neatly done.
ReplyDeleteHer hands are very ladylike though ! :-)
Haha, well, she is a girl, so in the end it is probably best that she has lady like hands! Even with all the axe-throwing and dragon-riding that she does, it would be a little weird for her to have chunky hands XD Her nails look good though... they are just a little dirty and her nails are not "clipped" perfectly straight. Anyway... yeah! Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteAstrid is so grown up, mature and beautiful. She looks great!
ReplyDeletehey now! why exactly is "femininity" linked to weakness or softness?
ReplyDeleteYES I love that she's still feminine as ever. Usually in movies girls have to make themselves more masculine to be seen as "strong" and Astrid totally destroys the association of femininity with weakness. She's gonna save Berk and she's gonna do it in a skirt.
ReplyDeletethis is is the present people! what happened in the past, is older news this is the full Hiccastrid right here! And I know I've asked my friends this but who here really what's to see hiccup without his armer or with out a shrit?
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that one clip with her mocking Hiccup's tone of voice should be proof too. XD You know the one they showed to Obama when he visited DreamWorks.
ReplyDeleteDetails! Details GALORE! I'll have a heart-attack from all the stuff that gonna be in this movie. *Fangasm*
ReplyDeletei would love to point out the AWSOME DETAIL ON THE FINGERS. it is scary realistic. i mean i know that animators are supposed to make the characters look realistic but that is scary.
ReplyDeleteI don't talk about her face or her femininity. It's all around it.. The clothes.. smaller spikes, clean too perfect hands.. it looks more like a boring Disney princess as an awesome DreamWorks warrior..
ReplyDeleteI hope the rough edges which made Astrid something special will resurface in the movie.
She's so flibbityfricking amazing. THAT ANIMATION. The little teeny hairs in the fur and her hair even goes all clumpy at the end of the braid ASDFGHJKL i can't.
ReplyDeleteContent-Aware tool to the max! xD
ReplyDeleteCheck out the FAN MADE poster I did in honor of How To Train Your Dragon 2. It combines Hiccup, Astrid, and Toothless and Stormfly into one big poster. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteIt won't let me upload it here.. but the poster is viewable and downloadable at my deviantart:
ReplyDeletelilgerndt.deviantart.com
Check it out, and I hope you enjoy it!
Yay Astrid and her dragon :D
ReplyDeleteUR MUR GURD! She is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI hope they make one for each of the teens. I know they might not be as popular, but we still love them. <3
ReplyDeleteI really hope there are going to be more posters so we can see all the teens with their dragons in them. :) I really hope so, especially because of these blank poster pictures on Dreamworks Dragons Official site:
ReplyDeletehttp://howtotrainyourdragon.com/download/poster/
By the way if you look that site, two of the posters has a Sharp Class logo on them, one has a Stoker Class logo, other one has a Fear Class logo, and omg one of them has a Strike Class logo! I wonder if that means anything...
It's a pretty terrible job if you look closely since I had to do it quickly. But we will get the watermark-free one tomorrow, so there's no point of fixing it really. And now I will be able to tell which news site use my image and which use the one from DreamWorks! :)
ReplyDeleteNow Hiccup and Astrid look even more perfect for each other :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, something Dragons 2 related. I was starting to get antsy because the last thing was trailer and its been awhile.
ReplyDeleteOh Dreamworks, you make eyes WAYYY better than disney.
ReplyDeleteJust putting this out there, not related to the poster
ReplyDeleteNight furies are supposedly the most intelligent dragons, right?
And as we see from Toothless, he does act alot like a human in terms of emotions, facial expressions, and the noises he makes.
Unlike the other dragons.
His ability to dilate his pupils also shows alot of emotions.
In the trailer when Toothless gets underneath Cloudjumper's wing, just by the way Cloudjumper reacted I felt like maybe he has the same or close to the intelligence of a night fury's. Anyone else notice that?
Their kids will have a combination of hiccup's big nose and astrids small nose to make one normal sized noze lmao
ReplyDeleteguys i just made a awesome drawing of hiccup and a awesome painting of toothless (much like the one i did on a paint program on my computer for secret Odin) i will post them as soon as possible :)
ReplyDeleteyea i kinda do now that you said it!
ReplyDeletethe cloudjumper is one of the best dragons other then toothless!
I think its interesting that people are saying how astrid has just become nothing more than the "girlfriend" trope in the sequel, because I actually think its quite the opposite? If anything, it seems like they've made her the second main character and a real leading lady. I know people are concerned about that one-and-a-half second shot in the trailer of her comforting hiccup but that doesn't represent how she's going to be throughout the whole movie. For one thing, Dreamworks is promoting her a lot more than they did for the first movie like she's a main character, moreso than she was in the first movie. and based off of the trailer, it appears that she gets to fight and explore alongside hiccup rather than sit back on berk and cheer him on from the sidelines like people seem to think. I think from what we've seen so far Hiccup really sees her as an equal, and probably better in many ways, and thats how we're supposed to see her as well. I'm really actually excited about where they're going to go with her. She's very pretty and soft-featured but at the same time she is not afraid to kick ass and take names and fight for herself and is clearly not the doting arm candy girlfriend. That is so refreshing in film because women are almost always one or the other- stereotypical modest, feminine love interest, or stereotypical tough girl.
ReplyDeletealso... part of me secretly wants Hiccup to hand the chieftainship over to Astrid, because she's always seemed like way more of the leader type than goofball Hiccup, though I love him :)
Your right that she's more then just a gril friend I know all of DreamWorks secretes on HTTYD 2 muhaha
ReplyDeleteEep! Astrid is Hiccups boyfriend? Did I read that right? YES!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR HTTYD2 TO COME OUT!!! XD
ReplyDeleteI know more on this durty little secret. For Astrid and hiccup
ReplyDeleteWait, boyfriend? OMG!!!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love the clone tool! Ps is my new best friend now that I've started my own blog. BTW congrats on the move to wordpress, I know I should do it too, but I'm scared to death it will be a nightmare! Thanks for all you do for us crazy HTTYD fans :0)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hope theres a character poster for Valka with Cloudjumper.
ReplyDeleteOk so it seems like it's a for sure thing that the movie opens with Astrid and Hiccup as BF/GF in an established relationship. So why have the writers for Defenders of Berk been told to stay away from their relationship? Wouldn't it be perfect for the show to be leading into a bit of romance with those two? So they can give us more depth in the relationship they have together before we see them four years later? (Assuming it's been a year's worth of adventures that have taken place in Riders and Defenders.)
ReplyDeleteI promise this is the last time I'll say it and then I'll shut up about it~ I feel like Hiccstrid fans are pining for some great romantic scenes that will lead up to the relationship between Hiccup and Astrid in the second movie. So far we're not gettin' it. The decision to set this movie five years after the first seems to skip over all that. I think that's so sad. Seeing two people who are already in love is not really that romantic. Watching them fall in love with each other would be wonderfully romantic. I don't think that's going to happen though. I'll get off my soap box now :0)
I still love all things HTTYD and can't hardly wait for this movie. BTW, Astrid is my hero and my favorite character! The rendering is incredible, you can bet someone sat in front of a computer screen for many an hour giving her such great design details. Thank you DreamWorks person! Whoever you are!
I love Astrids hair!! The detail is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you. It really makes no sense to me for them to basically see them treating each other as nothing more than teammates in the series. Simple things like we saw in Gift of the Night Fury (he addressed her as m'lady, she shot him the look that says "I'm your girlfriend, so you better like my idea" at one point) would go a long way.
ReplyDeleteThat's a valid concern if they limit the run-time to 90 minutes or so. Given that they seem to be going for something more epic in scope this time around, I'm still hoping that they'll go ahead and push it into the 2-hour range though.
ReplyDeleteWuaw... Astrid and Stormfly got the spotlight! Nice :D
ReplyDeleteI hope the other characters and their respective dragons will have their own poster soon.
Stormfly aged appearance looks rather wrinkly up close, but she looks brighter than her earlier design.
Good to see now Astrid's bangs are not too long anymore, now that her both eyes fully visible... glorious pretty gorgeous :D
Dat details... She and Stormfly don't really look like animated characters! The movie details and realism will be glorious in 3D! :D
ReplyDeleteHey, we still have a tv short coming some time this year, assuming it would be aired before the movie premiere, let's hope their relationship will be more developed in that later.
ReplyDeleteAnd we still have 7 episodes left, surely we'll be getting something, which, my guess will be at the season finale or near it... But for me personally, for an animated tv show, we don't really need some romantic relationship for now. Sure, a little, but not so dominating especially since the series is not a movie scale.
Just my 2 cents, please don't blast me :3
I do. Toothless now seems to be more loosen up and playful than previous. While Cloudjumper seems to be like has mature personality. I think Cloudjumper it's a female though, and I bet it's also a Strike Class.
ReplyDeleteYup, one does not simply judge anyone, especially Astrid, by her looks alone *O*
ReplyDeleteThat would be unusually long for an animated movie. I also don't seem to remember if there was ever an animated movie that long... but for HTTYD, a 2 hour duration would be a nice treat.
ReplyDeleteReally? What's the name of Cloudjumper species then?
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the live spectacular dragons, their skin looked similar to that.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they'll publish a wide version like they did with Hiccup's poster.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any western animated film that's considerably longer than 100 minutes, so I really doubt that they'll get anywhere near the two-hour mark. Therefore, I really don't think we should get our hopes up in that regard.
ReplyDeleteKnowing my crazy tendencies, I would probably turn it into a dart board.
ReplyDeleteI believe it might be another holiday special and it's supposed to come after the next movie.
ReplyDeleteOMG SOOOO NICE! *print it and put to my room*
ReplyDeleteYES! I like some of the Disney characters as well, but somehow all the same... but DW can make unique characters!
ReplyDeleteUgh I want to learn more about it.. sometimes I feel like Fishlegs when there's a new dragon. XD
ReplyDeletegivingligh;
ReplyDeleteAt the Comicon, Deblois said there'll be a closer conection between the 3° season to the 2° movie, meanwhile the first two ones are connected to the first movie, so we should wait, that's all,
And another thing is to pay attention at every single thing than Deblois says at any conference that he gave about httyd 2. Everything looks like there is a reason of why Hiccup and Astrid are together. After all, there is a storyline that we ought to watch.
yea
ReplyDeletei like how dream works finally made her look different as in her shirt and skirt
ReplyDeletei also like the fur cloak it makes her look older
Did anyone see that hiccups eyebrows from the 1st movie to the series keep getting darker and bushier?
ReplyDeleteoh
ReplyDeleteI KNOW! Just seeing the trailer and that fuzzy movie clip from Pres. Obama's trip is more than enough proof. :D Who else is planning on seeing the movie in IMAX 3D? Show of hands, anyone?
ReplyDeleteWell of course! :D I am wanting to see how she reacts to Valka and learning about Hiccup not wishing to be chief. I'm hoping for another good conversational talk between Hiccup and Astrid like in the last movie before they went to fight the Red Death.
ReplyDeleteSO cool! I cant wait!!!
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm at a loss. I'm guessing that's Cate Blanchett playing some sort of crazy person, but I have no idea what film it's from or its relevance.
ReplyDeleteikr, lol
ReplyDeleteA Strike Class logo? Hmm... it mean a new Strike Class dragon or a Skrill? OR A NEW NIGHT FURY?
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy when the other characters also will on poster!
I love it!!! I can't wait for yhe movie!!! *spechless*
ReplyDeletereaction images, what are they
ReplyDeleteAstrid is Hiccup's boyfriend...what...
ReplyDeleteYeah, but the only thing I don't want to see in the movie is their marriage....
ReplyDeleteIm sure everyone already knows this but still..
ReplyDeleteIn the coming weeks! :-)
I had to do some quick research in order to see if an animated movie has ever been that long. I discovered that Pixar has 3 films that would fit the description (The Incredibles- 115 minutes, Cars-116 minutes, Ratatouille- 111 minutes), but DreamWorks really hasn't made one that long. So, it can be done, but it's definitely more of a wish than an expectation right now.
ReplyDeleteThat's possible. At this point I'd like to accept anything HTTYD related.
ReplyDeleteThough I hope it will be aired before the second movie... Would be a nice prequel, perhaps set a year or months before the events of the sequel, but we'll see...
I think I read somewhere about this article written "expect the character posters released individually." I'm anxious about this, but if it's true, then next some time next we'll probably be getting another new character poster, with his/her representative dragon.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad the highest quality version we have so far is the one with the watermark. The one posted on HowToTrainYourDragon.com is lower resolution. :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe Cloudjumper will be a Strike Class dragon? Then that Strike Class poster could be Valka and her dragon.
ReplyDeleteYESSSS. Kris0ten on Tumblr has also said about the new posters in the coming weeks! Very excited! I wonder if we'll get one with Valka and Cloudjumper? :D
ReplyDeleteReally??? Can you tell me what it is?
ReplyDeleteYes that is a pretty good poster.
ReplyDeleteProbably means she's the guy in the relationship. XD Of course that's reading too much into but in the fandom that's basically cannon. XDDD
ReplyDeleteI'm going to miss some of the characters in the series... Like Alvin, Dagar and Heather, they were really good characters.
ReplyDeleteDoes Kris0ten work with DreamWorks? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm still getting the hang of tumblr lol.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew... and at the same time, not !!! Why is it so messed up ????!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, she does. She sometimes gives us fandom updates and stuff like that. She is apparently a big fan of Dragons also ;D
ReplyDeleteThats awesome! Based on what I've seen I was pretty sure she did work with DreamWorks, but I didn't want to assume. Gosh we are such a lucky fandom. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Astrid, and Camicazi at that. I'm glad Dreamworks created this character, she just seems to naturally fit! She's feminine yet she's a warrior. :) I love her! This looks amazing! So AMAZING! I love how realistic this is, and I'm so excited for this film! I pointed out how realistic the characters looked to my Mother and she got creeped out and thought they were real at first until I minimized the screen. xD I ordered a HTTYD 2 poster of Hiccup and Toothless a year ago and have yet to receive it, which makes me angry and I guess I'll send back the order. Plus, I want both of these posters now. I'm redesigning my room and making it spacey and these two will be my very first posters!
ReplyDeleteI agree with ya! I'd love it if it were a Valentines special of sorts, perhaps even an Easter special! I can just see the little hooligans running around "egg hunting" ;D
ReplyDeleteHmmm....Dean DeBlois has hinted that he is inspired by the Empire Strikes Back for this second HTTYD movie. So hopefully this more than just a girl friend "secret" is nothing like how Luke and Leia turned out to be siblings....
ReplyDeleteSomething that simultaneously takes more time than explaining your reactions, and is more confusing than said explanation?
ReplyDeletechiiiiilllll ouuuuuuuut
ReplyDeleteProbably, given that they're basically the heroes of this film. Oh well, I've been meaning to take up darts.
ReplyDeleteThis is me chilled out. If I wasn't chilled out, the post would be at least ten times as long.
ReplyDeleteUm, either they edited the article after you posted that comment, or the articles says, "Astrid will join forces with her boyfriend Hiccup", meaning that Hiccup is her boyfriend, not the other way around.
ReplyDeleteHmm, odd that I'd be that forgetful; I had them in my mind as being about 100 minutes apiece. It is worth remembering, however, that those were from Pixar in their prime (Cars being a bit of an anomaly, admittedly), when they were basically separate from any corporate mandates. Dreamworks, for all the improvement they've had over the last decade or so, are still very corporate-minded (hey, that's why we're getting a sequel in the first place). Therefore, DeBlois still has to justify all that hypothetical extra running time to the powers that be. That's not a part of his job that I envy.
ReplyDeleteHiccup and Toothless, Astrid and Stormfly, fear class....
ReplyDeleteWAIT A MINUTE
ANOTHER STRIKE CLASS SYMBOL?!?
WHAT COULD THIS MEAANNNNN
Haha. That would pretty much troll all of us. Thankfully, I really don't see a way for the long-lost sibling angle to work when they've grown up together in the village.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, and it's the reason I'd still consider a longer movie somewhat of a longshot. This does seem to be the most ambitious DreamWorks project to date though which will gives me hope that they may up the ante a bit.
ReplyDeleteastrid
ReplyDelete*Sigh* Even only after a day I still love looking at older Astrid and Hiccup. Why must the wait for the movie be so long? X(
ReplyDeleteikr! =D
ReplyDeleteI just re-watched the trailer for a bazillionth time but it's not the same.
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy! I bet you're going to watch the 2nd movie a bazillionth time as well when it comes out. =)
ReplyDeleteher eyes are gorgeous (as is this whole thing!) but why are they darker than originally? none the less I'm stoked about June!! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with everything, I mean there doesn't even need to be like crazy romance at all but at least give us something to show that they are going to be together. Lets face it, after the way Astrid's feelings developed throughout the movie there is no possible way that they are just magically together in the second movie, there had to have been some kind of event that caused them to make it official or whatever you want to call it.
ReplyDeleteThe point is and I have said this many times is that they need to stop this Astrid, Snotlout stuff and get on with what a majority of people want to see which is Hiccup and Astrid. This has been one of the most talked about things in httyd so let it come through and turn into something that we can all enjoy. You can see with all the reply's and people mentioning that about them that this is what they want so I don't understand what they are trying to do here.
My Two Favorites ;D
ReplyDeleteMe too!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to miss only Dagur. Drago is like another Alvin already.
ReplyDeleteYes... But I hope they'll post the high quality one without watermark soon.
ReplyDeleteI think Cloudjumper might be a male. I was reading about how Cloudjumper's wings split into an x. When they were describing it, they were calling Cloudjumper a he. ("has an owl mannerism and a second set of wings under his main ones that can splay and become an 'X-wing'") but who knows, we'll just have to wait and see :3
ReplyDeletethat means that is probably a poster of Valka & Cloudjumper...
ReplyDeleteEh? What is this screencap from?
ReplyDeleteI miss Heather, and maybe Alvin. But not Dagur. He scares me. O_O (But yeah, they were all really good characters.)
ReplyDeleteHere here! Diddo for sure :0)
ReplyDeleteDrago is not voiced by Mark Hamill, and is thus automatically inferior to Alvin.
ReplyDeleteReally? Just the one thing? I can think of loads of things I don't want to see in the movie, e.g. Jar Jar Binks.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't stop you from hoping. Just try not to be too disappointed when the film's at the 85 minute mark and Valka's already vanquished Drago.
ReplyDeleteIt can't be Meatlug and fishlegs, there is no boulder class logo there.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, IMDB has the runtime listed as 105 minutes, roughly halfway between my estimate and your hopes. Of course, that is assuming that IMDB is accurate, which is a very big assumption.
ReplyDeleteHmm... anyone remember me saying that I was doing a HTTYD Crossover? That had magic, new creatures... a bit dark? I wrote that some posters ago (wich was really long ago) and I can't remember wich post). Well, the thing is, I am starting to writing the first chapter,... guess what, they all have the same age like in HTTYD2!
ReplyDeleteI will say the true: my fanfiction is based on Dragon Age:Origins, and... le'ts say that HTTYD movie is canon, and some episodes of rob and dob are canon. Stoick had Thornando, of example...
What do you think of all this?... I'm a bit nervous... :/ Guys, I want a true reply, i respect whatever is your opinion, and if you want more details of the story, I can tell.
Sorry to break the bad news but HTTYD 2 isn't going to be screened in IMAX 3D, only 3D. Also someone is petitioning to get it shown in IMAX here http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/imax-and-dreamworks-animation-and-20th-century-fox-present-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-in-imax-3d?share_id=QuvVLkTVzJ&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition
ReplyDeleteSo please try and spread it on Tumblr or any other social media you use.
http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/imax-and-dreamworks-animation-and-20th-century-fox-present-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-in-imax-3d?share_id=QuvVLkTVzJ&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition
ReplyDeleteHey! Would everybody be up for signing this petition that someone made to have HTTYD 2 in IMAX 3D. As of now it'll only be in 3D. I'm not entirely sure if posting petition links are in accordance with commenting rules, so i'll take this down if needed. SO CAN EVERYBODY SPREAD THE WORD IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE, AND QUICKLY.
Well, strike class symbol actually doesn't mean anything... symbols of all dragon classes are used on this page to mark upcoming downloads...
ReplyDeleteI think the only way to find out if we think the crossover is good, is if you complete that first chapter! :D I'd love to see how this comes out! Post a link once it's done!
ReplyDeleteAlright, you made my day, Velocity! :D I will do that (post the link) when the first chapter is done. Now I need to work hard on my first chapter... really hard!. =)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking if the first chapter will be focus on Astrid or Hiccup 'cause they are in different places... or not. I mean, not everything from the game had to be exacly the same in my crossover, right? ^^
Yrs, he is. But I still think the have many things in common.
ReplyDeleteDagur is one of my favourite RoB and DoB characters! The fact that he is crazy makes him an unpredictable character.
ReplyDeleteHmm... I heared she'll never appear again... We can't know for sure yet.
ReplyDeleteI signed it. Admittedly, online petitions don't tend to accomplish a lot, but the worst that can happen is nothing, so we may as well give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteThis think doesn't change many things for me, as the theatre were I go for watching didn't play IMAX 3D, but I'll spread the word in the HTTYD fandoom from DeviantART as much as I can.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It's a shot in the dark, but anything helps I guess.
ReplyDeletei did this picture is astrid and stormfly. it want like this. a little girl to and teenager to older.
ReplyDeleteI think Ruff and Tuff, along with Barf and Belch would be likely featured individually, since... they are normally in pairs, with a two headed dragon, and if the poster is structured similarly with Hiccup/Toothless and Astrid/Stormfly posters... that would possible, yes?
ReplyDeleteI know, I do like how well they created Dagur, but still. He scares me. O_O He had Hiccup and Toothless trapped under a net, surrounded by outcasts and berserkers, and was -this- close to taking Toothless's head off right then and there! HE HAS DRAWINGS OF TOOTHLESS AND HICCUP EVERYWHERE(creepy) AND WAS THROWING KNIFES AT THEM. He used Hiccup as a dart board! (that last one was not scary, more making me mad at him.)
ReplyDeleteI heard she will reappear with a dragon named spout, most likely a Scouldron. I hope she does come back.
ReplyDeleteSo I found this on eBay or something a while back, and it really confuses me: what kind of factory error gives a two headed Nightmare?
ReplyDeleteI think Cloudjumper be a Sharp Class dragon. But it can be anything. May be that Strike Class doesn't mean anything (only a small awareness-raising).
ReplyDeleteI'm not afraid of him. He's crazy, he's funny, he's angry, VERY ANGRY... but I like him. One of my favs too ;)
ReplyDeleteChina... XD
ReplyDeleteI love her red shirt and the fur. Dreamworks can make so realistic furs! :D
ReplyDeleteAwh man, that thing is gross! It's like what would happen if a Hideous Zippleback and Monstrous Nightmare had an egg!
ReplyDeleteI think I actually have to buy it now XD
Otherwise they'll punched. Violently.
ReplyDeleteO: *Breaks downs and shouts over-dramatically* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteThis cannot happen. The no IMAX movie thing I mean. Seriously, the last film was in IMAX (greatest mistake of mine was not seeing it in that format) and yet DreamWorks is not doing this time? They do realize that more people will come to see this movie since the last one was such a sleeper hit right? *Slaps forehead* What are the people there thinking?
I signed it. I really want to see HTTYD 2 in IMAX 3D.
ReplyDeleteYou should know that the IMAX logo is a great lie for the last 5 years. There are only a few cinemas in the world which are "real" IMAX cinemas. Many cinema manager just buy the license to advertise with the logo without having the technical preferences. The only real IMAX cinema which presents normal movies I know is the BFI IMAX in London.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. You might be right. :)
ReplyDeleteHowtotrainyourdragon.com
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm hoping for :D
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you! Im so glad you said this. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of heights, but I want to fly so bad. I've never been on an airplane or anything. I have actually considered becoming a skydiver and slowly making my way up to wingsuit gliding. Httyd really made me realize that flying is beautiful. Have you ever heard of people who have had, um, say an arm amputated but they still feel like theres an arm there? (Phantom arm or something?)
ReplyDeleteHi, could you please sign my petition for httyd 2 to be shown in IMAX 3D? The first movie was show in IMAX and it was awesome, I wish we could have the same wonderful experience with the second movie: https://www.change.org/petitions/imax-and-dreamworks-animation-and-20th-century-fox-present-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-in-imax-3d
ReplyDeleteOMG yes, Parachuting or hang gliding, (especially with a suit like hiccups, rather then a big hang glider.) I would so do it if I knew how to or wasn't afraid of heights.
ReplyDeleteJust be glad it wasn't a Gronckle, or Night Fury, because thinking about a two headed Night Fury gives me the creeps. O.o
ReplyDeleteI've thinking about learning wingsuit flying but it is very expensive. :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe someday.
Yes, such is not always available. Very special!
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is off topic, but why does the second season not have a narrative like the first season?
ReplyDeleteAha I see what you mean, actually, I hate to know I'm in jeopardy, and when you fly, there's always a risk ! So I'm curious to find out if I can handle it or not. I've been on a small airplane once, I trusted the pilot, but it was very windy, the little plane shook a lot !! I didn't scream, but I wasn't at ease ! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm not up for wingsuit, though, I've heard it's much more dangerous.
And, yes, I've heard about phantom limbs too. I don't know what it's like, but it must be weird to miss a limb that has always been there....
Imagine Wingsuit flying while playing Behind the Clouds or Test Drive!! I heard, unfortunately that you need to have been skydiving at least 200 times before you can go wingsuit flying!!
ReplyDeleteWhere would a Gronkle even fit a second head? XD
ReplyDeleteSo buying this
ReplyDeleteI did this for the Hiccup and Toothless poster as well, and I just finished it tonight! I just thought I'd share it with you guys.

If you look up two headed monsterous nightmare on google, you'll find a lot of different places these are sold XD
ReplyDeleteDon't let your experiences put you off flying; statistically, it is still the safest way to travel.
ReplyDeleteit is probably valka and cloudjumper.
ReplyDeleteHey! (This is off topic)I saw that there is a clip on Youtube for tomorrows episode- Frozen. I didn't watch it( I don't care for spoilers) but, I just wanted to let you all know. Also, on Wikipedia it says that there will be a three week delay from "A Tale of Two Dragons". The next episode after that will be on February 26th. The title of that episode will be "The Eel Effect" Im not sure if the air date will end up being changed, but I just thought I would give you guys the info.
ReplyDeleteI am terrified of heights so if it was me, I wouldn't go. But hey, if you have the opportunity and you think you can do it, go for it!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try skydiving... And, well, HTTYD has not really helped to me forget it. My problem is, I have no idea where I could do it or would my parents even give me a permission to do so. But if you'll try (paragliding, I mean), have fun and after that please tell how it feels :)
ReplyDeletehere is the toothless painting i did awhile ago
ReplyDeletesrry here it is
ReplyDelete*Drops to knees and skreams to the sky* NOOOOOO!! THEY HAVE DELAYED THE EPISODES TO MUCH. I BARELY MADE IT WAITING FOR HOLIDAY BREAK TO BE OVER!
