Behind the Scenes Video: Blu-Ray Sneak Peek!
Posted on Friday, October 17, 2014 by IcelandicEel
Check out this sneak peek behind the scenes video that will appear on the BluRay! In the video, we see Dean's though process in aging up and redesigning the characters, what the new dragons and characters should look like, and a brief glimpse at what it was like to compose the score.
Thanks Nordic_William!

ReplyDeleteCan anyone please tell me why the DVD countdown has changed to 3 days?
ReplyDeleteWell done !
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness guys I feel like I havent been on in forever. We only have three days until the DVD comes out ahhhh!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're Lucky, here that will be November, 5th :(
ReplyDeleteThe worst thing is, my parents have a 3D TV, but I'll be there at the end of the month... too early to get my copy !!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH !!!!!
This video is priceless !!
ReplyDeleteIn my country, it won't come until November 10th. Also they only sell the new short movie with the Blu-Ray one, but I don't have a Blu-Ray! Uhh... I have to buy the dvd. :(
ReplyDeleteActually, the DVD doesn't come out until November 11. It's the digital download/iTunes version of the movie that comes out in 3 days.
ReplyDeleteSomeone message Icelandic about the deleted scene and the 21st Twitter Dragons gathering. They need to put this up for others to be notified :)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't you message them?
ReplyDeleteNot the DVD but a digital release, the DVD won't come out until November 11.
ReplyDeleteShoot. Vid's been taken down. Has anyone found another link for it?
ReplyDeleteDean's sketches are amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of how much fun I had using Apollo on Hiccup.
And I now know how to pronounce Jonsi!
I know about these! I almost ended up being able to go to Dragon Day myself! :)

O: Really? That's amazing! To who? Where'd you learn that? We saw him in London for the BFI events like 2 days ago and he never mentioned it at all (then again, I suppose why would he haha)
ReplyDeleteSorry, I cant tell that either, its part of his personal life..

ReplyDeleteno wonder pics of the short have been leaked heh i just posted one mainly for the hiccstrid fans on here
ReplyDeleteC-C-Could it be a frame from Dawn of the Dragon Racers? [{;>,q}
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of format would that be? I've seen Blu-Ray, DVD, a laserdisc (now extinct), and floppy disks (also extinct). But now they expect the most advanced, expensive form on the market to suddenly just have its own compatible equivalent to the Home Media systems just mentioned? By which only then it will play a disk...or drive? Tsk-Tsk. If 4K HD was made to be quality but can't play any form of common media discs, it must be mistaken. Now it has no time to introduce all these movies on yet another form of "disc" we'd have to worry about. And unless the blu-rays are beginning to use 7.1 Surround instead of 5.1, I'll have to assume it will work as much as the other blu-rays on your system, if they work that is. Can't say. 4Ks are rare for obvious reasons and I've only heard of them twice, once in a computer class and twice by you.
ReplyDeleteWait, so you worked behind the scenes and nobody bothered to let you know? That's like being told to set up a rock arena for a symphony, and never being told which style was performing.
ReplyDeleteWhen I say that name, I go "Yonsee Thore Bare-ges-sun." Which I now can't say without this cartoon-Scottish accent, so I stick with it.
At least you have a more legit excuse to buy a Blu-Ray or PS3. I have a Blu-ray (won by raffle) and only one Blu-ray disk, and the movie I have on it is always airing on TV, so "what's the point of buying the movie if you've seen it and the features and it's always on anyway"? I'm doomed, and now my Blu-ray inexplicably stopped working. I don' want the version I get of this movie, if I get I to be the one with no valuable bonus in its features. But I'm the only one in my family who dwells into bonus features. And I love deleted scenes and makings-of to the point where I myself want to do it. I wanna go behind the scenes and work on movies. So bonus features are kind of special to me, and it's a shame they've been taking that away from DVDs. A short can be iffy and uploaded on youtube, but a behind-the-scenes is like a time capsule; it'll never be in another edition.
ReplyDeleteI am using a 4K HD screen, that's why I want it in 4K HD :p
ReplyDeleteIt should be either MP4 or MKV, and you can have it on a blu-ray disk, but I don't need a disk, I just need it to be downloadable and then I can burn it to a blu ray disk.
I never download things due to "rules of the internet" and storage space. Besides, I'm one of those people who go for the special features. They just make me appreciate the movie more while everyone around me calls them a bore. I'll write the formats down for future reference, but I can't convert lower quality to high, nor fit a disc or movie download on my laptop (I've no DVD-ROM, and the USB ports keep acting up on me). But still, it might help me confirm with Wondershare as the best converter available, and it would be the cream of the crop if it allows the 4K format. It's good to see it'll work with wide formats as well.
ReplyDeleteNeither do I... yet, but I'm getting on for early November, that's for sure ! :)
ReplyDeleteomfg jonsi's there too and he was standing next to dean can i just.. omg two of my favorite people <3
