The How to Train Your Dragon 2 score and screenplay are now available on dwaawards.com! The music available on the site is the extended score, with cues that are not available in the normal release. Check them out below:
The content on this site has a limited lifespan, so don't forget to check out the score and screenplay before DreamWorks takes them down!
Oh this is NICE. I love having a screenplay available!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I can't wait to read this one. It's nice that DreamWorks releases their screenplays online now for everyone to read.
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome to see how Dean describes his own film. It really is... because it kind of lets you see exactly which elements he thinks are important. I'm extremely thankful DreamWorks posted this, and thank you for letting me know about it!
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway we can see the full behind the scenes video or the commentary (I think they're separate things)?
ReplyDeleteThe music is great! I especially love the one called "Me Likey" XD
ReplyDeleteThis is great!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's pure awesomeness !!!
ReplyDeleteThe screenplay is a very interesting read, particularly DeBlois' word choice when describing certain action, settings, etc. (I'll read it in full some time soon).
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for posting the extended score. I look forward to listening to it!
Awesome! Has anyone been able to download this extended score? If so, please share a download link!
ReplyDeleteAugh! I just found out it's Stoic's birthday! Happy birthday, Gerald!
ReplyDeleteI might see about transcribing the expanded bits of score if they are separated by track like the first film's expanded score.
ReplyDeleteooh, definitely making videos out of some of these!
ReplyDeleteAh, huh-huh-ha!
ReplyDeleteThe score is EPIC!! I love it!:)
ReplyDeleteEh, I'd much rather have had the original script than the final one, since there would be much more interesting information in the former than the latter. Still, one can't really argue with free stuff, so kudos to you, Dreamworks.
ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeletewhoaw... 8)
ReplyDeleteawsome!
ReplyDeletehow come the additional songs weren't on the album!?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't watch the screenplay T.T
ReplyDeletei love it.
ReplyDeleteSo that white circle thingamabob on Hiccup's arm (as he was adding Itchy Armpit to his map) WAS a compass! I almost thought it was an ink jar, but then again why would there be a dial on it otherwise. Oh, and I actually transcribed "Together We Map the World" a few months back, but I still haven't acquired a Creative Commons License required to sell copies free online like Alex Sheen has.
ReplyDeleteSome of them were combined with others. Ah! Now we know what "The Courting Song" was, the INSTRUMENTAL of "For the Dancing and the Dreaming" that Powell and Jonsi wrote together!. I always thought it was the sung bit of the song. I have to check the OST to see if there were differences between jointed tracks (They have two titles "/"ed together) and them as separate so I may know exactly where they split.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way to save the soundtrack?! :O

ReplyDeleteJust change the number to the track number you want
Here is for those who wants to download the complete soundtrack, you will need a program that can open .rar files

Wow, and all those greetings Stoic said as he entered Gobber's smithy were improvised! Just so y'all know, those were the names of the neighboring Vikings (the ones from the first film's opening who kept saying to Hiccup "AUGH! Morning! What are you doing out here? Get inside!") The one that says "Night Fury!" is still unnamed.
ReplyDeleteDone!
ReplyDeleteUnrar-ed the rar compression and got 29 mp3s. I'll have to use my converter to open them, though, but they're on! I just hope that being a "temporary internet file" doesn't mean it requires an active internet connection to work once it's downloaded. Thank you.
It shouldn't need require any internet once you have them downloaded, they're regular .mp3 files (with cover), my computer plays them with WMP automatically and it works fine :-)
ReplyDeleteAlright! Looks like I've finally got something I can work on while riding the car. I've been trying to get a song to transcribe without the internet (or app phones like ipad or android and iTunes) and now there is one! A great find from you!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping the academy takes a good long look at this sight. I really what to see this film clean up on awards this year. :)
ReplyDeleteOr you could download it the fun way:
