Race to the Edge Premiering on June 26!

Check out this new teaser for DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge! The new series will premiere on Netflix on June 26! In Race to the Edge, Hiccup, Toothless and the others will travel outside of Berk to find the Dragon Eye, an "mysterious artifact" that will lead them to discover new lands and new dragons. But the dragon riders much watch out for marauding dragon hunters who want the Dragon Eye for themselves.

It appears that 13 of the 52 episodes will be showing up on Netflix on the same day, June 26, with new sets of episodes being released every few months. That's quite a lot of dragons per day.  Who's ready for a five-hour dragothon?

Also, check out these articles written about the WonderCon panel. Although the footage shown at the panel hasn't been released yet, there's still plenty of information about what we're going to see. There will be new dragons (the Death Song, the Cavern Crasher, the Catastrophic Quake, the Snow Wraith, Night Terrors, and possibly some of the Rise of Berk dragons), another friendly tribe, and lots of time to build on the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless.

    I'm amazed by how much better everything looks. The animation has definitely improved, and as have the graphic. Though the series will never be as beautiful as the movie, this is still amazing. I'm super excited for June!

    An attendee from the Wondercon panel explained that this is meant to be an outpost the riders created for themselves. They will be traveling far beyond the archipelago so it will not be possible for them to return to Berk by night. This is where they will stay whilst on their journey. We will see much less of Stoick, Gobber and Berk in general. Instead the riders will explore faraway lands, encounter new dragon species and make new enemies and allies as they travel toward the edge.

    Cool! Was already guaranteed to watch it but now I'm really interested in what they're going to do with the series now. It seems like they're able to do more now then what they were able to do before. I guess having the second movie be out, and covering the year before it gives the shows creators quite a bit more freedom as to what they can do. Also as others have said it looks even better than the first two seasons did as well(which just makes it even more worth watching). I'm kind of curious to be honest if some of the money Netflix was investing in acquiring and producing new content on it's service. Went to Dragons for production costs and to increase the quality of the show.

    The series will likely get uploaded to YouTube and Tumblr. However, you'll want to keep an eye out for it diligently because there's a chance the episodes will get taken down for copyright in a matter of days or hours.

    Hiccup has little things he likes to use. such as his shield. toothless has a shouty thing that helps him search that he likes to use and now he has this artifact called he "dragons eye". i call it a toy cos he likes to use it.

    She doesn't resemble a berserker, but if she was, she must have been Oswald's last heir, cast off by Daggur to "retire" him. Also wonder how that affects the forming alliance of Alvin and Daggur.

    Interesting idea, but seems unlikely. We've already seen Heather's father, and he wasn't Oswald the Agreeable. Maybe Heather belongs to that tribe that will be Berk's ally?

    Omg guys, I think I may be right about thinking that Heather is Dagur's sister in this interview I saw with the art producers at wondercon in the round table thing and they said this...
    "And Heather is coming back and we'll be seeing a new storyline with her and Dagur also."
